But the bit you are missing is that in the transitional period .. every thing that was in place ... remains in place .... that is not going to be the case at the end of the transition period.

Still waiting on MCFC1632 with his soliloquy on 'The Benefits of Brexit'
Don't you read this thread?

Strange post

I can’t understand why some people are so keen to sabotage Brexit or delay and delay
It’s like the people who think they know best can’t accept defeat and will do whatever they can to stop the democratic will of the people
Happy to have a vote until it goes the wrong way.
It’s like they will never get over it despite probably not really being that arsed about it at the start
The more they try to thwart it the more they continue to not lose face
The world won’t end with brexit however much were told it will

Who is trying to sabotage it?

I think we all understand your argument that the EU / euro is going to collapse or disintegrate. But - assume that risk is exaggerated - is there any real upside from leaving? Any better deals in the offing? Any boost to sterling? Money to the NHS? Food security when the policy seems to be either increase prices or rely more on imports (until our farming industry is wrecked when imports will cost more)?

So it's gambling on the assumption that the Euro is more vulnerable to collapse than the pound (and moaning about ECB policy on buying bonds which the Bank of England is also doing).

Costs of British bureaucracy to replace EU bureaucracy? (Aircraft, nuclear, satellite technology, etc etc....)

Most oddly, why have they pulled the plug on preparations for no deal Brexit when it now seems to be the policy?

Because No Deal is bad for Britain. That wasn't what people were told/sold and no democratic vote can change the fact that it will be bad for Britain.

Most former remainers (No such thing any more now we’ve left) just don’t want the post transition outcome to be a fucking disaster for most people whilst enriching a select few; which is the way it’s heading with Cummings and his lackeys running the show.

I see, you’ve provided a link to a story that provides the suggestion that some people want to delay Brexit and also provides context and the rationale for that. Fair enough if you can’t understand that rationale as you suggest or even disagree with it but I don’t see anything in that suggesting they want to sabotage Brexit, you may interpret it differently.

As for thinking they know best, to be honest I would expect our elected representatives and all their advisors, whether in government or opposition, to know better than me. It’s why we have a system of parliament.

Although, to go off topic slightly, you’d be forgiven for thinking they don’t always know best judging by the way this government has handled the pandemic. Let’s hope they perform a little better in delivering the will of the people when we eventually get Brexit done. Although, again, I thought Brexit already had been done. Confusing isn’t it?

Looks like they’re approving half a trillion in grants, not loans, for corona recovery. The bastards.
Good job we have left as we won't have to foot the second largest piece of the that pie like we normally do then. It will be nice to see the French putting their hands in the pockets for a change, I'm sure the French and German tax payers will enjoy that. Not.

The Germans were in bars at restaurants at the weekend watching their football teams. If their lives and lives of their neighbouring counties head towards some for of normality then I’m sure ‘the tax-payer’ will see that as a decent compromise

What’s the alternative? Pull the drawbridge up? That may work in the short term but not in the medium/long term

Different argument and leaving a political union is hardly pulling up the drawbridge blue

Who do you think bailed Greece out during their sovereign debt crisis which was the biggest ever EU bailout. I’ll give you a clue - not a penny came from us. So basically you’re talking shit as usual if you think we usually pay for Eurozone bailouts. No need to respond unless you can demonstrate I’m wrong.

who created it with their thirst and need to export Cayenne's and Audi's and creating a false economy to cause it.

What’s that got to do with who bailed them out?
And the answer to your question is Greece, by cooking their books to get in the Euro, and there was a failure of scrutiny by the EU also. Irrelevant to the point being discussed.
