Simple test 1 - I am a non-qualified individual in one of the countries not in the EU...…..

Do I have the same rights as a similar individual from one of the EU27 to enter and live in the UK?

If not I am discriminated against

Simple test 2 - I am a qualified/skilled individual in one of the countries not in the EU...…..

Do I have the same rights as a similar individual from one of the EU27 to enter and live in the UK?

Simple test 3 - I am a qualified/skilled individual in one of the countries not in the EU...…..

Do I have the same, or better, rights as a non-qualified individual from one of the EU27 to enter and live in the UK?

If not I am discriminated against

It is simple and plainly factual - undeniable so really

That you cannot grasp the simple facts is no concern/issue/interest for me - that is on you
i'd happily engage with you on this but with the usual suspects, and a the odd twat, ready to pounce i don't think i'll bother.
You could call it 'hounded' off the thread by 'the pack' if you like. or shutting down the debate. Or deflection.

I think that I am reflecting the majority of views when saying that when sitting in pubs either where I live now, or in any of the many locations that I have lived - it is simply an unheard of - or indeed extremely rare occurrence for some dickhead to start spouting racist shite - and if I did frequent such a pub (if one actually anywhere exists) - yes I probably would walk out.

On this topic, I think that you have simply 'gilded the lily' - and not had been able to simply let it drop
My offer of a drink around my town is open to you as well. Any time you like once pubs re-open.

Another article that brought a wry smile:

https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/to...u-deal-and-expect-longer-transition-1-6657571

The headline is:

"A new poll has revealed three quarters of British people want a trade deal with the European Union, and the majority are expecting Boris Johnson to extend the transition period in order to seek a deal. "

Hard to get the real detail - but it seems a deliberately loaded question being used to mis-represent public opinion and seek to bring pressure to bear.

On any and every day this year, if asked, I would have replied that I want a trade deal with the European Union.

On most days of this year - until very recently - if asked, I would have replied that I was expecting the transition period to be extended - not that I want that

There is a whiff of desperation in the air and all the bleating is coming from one side - which I suggest is telling.

Lol. I mentioned last week that No Deal consistently polls at around 20~30%. There should be zero surprise when the inevitable 'talks breakdown' messaging comes out that it is as popular as dog shit. As you know many brexiteers are thick as pig shit - they believe we left in January, Brexit got done, and there is nothing left to do. No deal becoming real will give a lot of people a wake up. Add that to the fact that BJ popularity is already tanking and its going to get sticky for him...

Brexit is going to raise its ugly head again and if we thought 2019 was bad for politics in the UK then hold on to your hat.

That does not seem to be the case on here from my experience TBF

But granted - there will be some around the country that are not the sharpest knives - but I expect that may be quite balanced - don't you?

Have Remainers in general - not on here - seemed brighter people in your view?

Anyway - I was commenting on that particular poll - and I think that my comment appears to be valid

Oh dear ..... confident are we ?

What a strange post

A (any) SoS refuses to get drawn into providing a guarantee/certainty that something that he/she cannot control will not happen - all politicians should/would do that...…...

Was there a point that you were making?

Reportedly the Met Police have trebled their spend on rubber bullets to £500,000 in anticipation of civil unrest after Brexit (on top of the Nations purchase of bodybags) .... so the benefits to the population are looking good aren't they?

Having said that ... We will probably have to reorder some more body bags after the latest Conservative f@ck up.

I bloody love this thread, it's a ray of sunshine and lolz in the world these days so may I convey my thanks and appreciation too all involved.

After world war 3 has so far failed to materialise, after we all failed to find ourselves 4k a year worse off the day after the referendum, both as faithfully promised might I add, we are now being promised armed insurrection on the streets of the uk. Police have half a million rubber bullets with our names on them apparently. Not sure who they'll be firing at though, wont be the working class of course as they will be quite pleased once Brexit is finally finalised. It's what they voted for in their millions, time after time, after time. Not sure the waitrose massive really have it in them to violently confront the forces of law and order on the streets of the nation but I could be wrong of course. I mean, I am an inbred, northern racist.

Bloody marvellous. Keep em coming fellas, you're making lockdown fly by.

Its a newspaper report (if you follow the hyperlink) ... and despite what you may think .. we have left the Eu on paper alone ..

Nice selective quote.
It wasn't "selective", I was highlighting a particular inaccuracy in your statement; you don't believe the UK left in January. It did, so your comment contributes to, quote "brexiters being thick as pig shit", end quote, being inaccurate on that particular premise. Brexit has been concluded.

We did leave the EU in January. We are no longer a member. We are negotiating a trade deal. We don't suddenly become a member again if we do not orchestrate a trade deal before December 31st 2020.
