I think we might still be in a sort of Free Trade Zone from Iceland to the Russian border.No, this deal is no where near what the Leave Campaign promised, unless you think the Leave Campaign promised increased trade barriers, an internal customs border between GB and NI, and a 2,000 page deal still being haggled over with 7 days to go for businesses to adjust to a new customs and regulatory regime on which they have zero information.
This isn’t even what Johnson promised in the election campaign with his ‘oven ready deal’ and no checks or customs border between GB and NI.
The deal is as a failure based on what was promised in 2016, and the outcome in terms of our compromised sovereignty with NI is a failure for our own Union.
The only positive is the uptick in turd polishing and memory wipes.
