Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

So you decided to totally ignore that I specifically talked about just that sequence?

Ok.
Doesn’t matter what you say Mate. Minds were made up. The truth is if it wasn’t him and the coverage it got hadn’t been there, but the ref in place had the same standard of game, there wouldn’t be anything said other than that he had a good game, the Sané incident aside.
Taylor had a good game. And that’s all there is to it. The press coverage, IMO, played a part in that because usually, whoever it is he’s reffing, he has shockers.

Ridiculous decision to give Taylor the job anyway, what are they trying to prove ? The referee is just supposed to officiate a game so making that appointment was certain to put unnecessary pressure on his performance - as was picked up by the media.

And just in case there are any doubts about whether he would have blown for the penalty against Sergio if David had not scored, I did a special half hour course on body language at UMIST in the sixties & can say without any fear of contradiction the answer is NO. He was about to shove both arms in the air & wave play on - nothing to see here.

I haven't got my head up my arse and I am not tying to have it both ways. City did not give him the chance to fuck us over. We should have controlled it better against Chelsea but we allowed him to wind us up with his cheating. We then had the Wigan farce where an over the top challenge (a straight red) on Aguero went unpunished only to be followed by the most stupid/bent/ decision I have ever seen, (name another time a ref has pulled out a yellow and then a red.
On Sunday we kept the ball so well he would have had to make the most obvious wrong decision against us and be shown to the world that he is a cheat or he became a spectator. He had two major decisions to make, he made neither. I am not counting the penalty he gave that was nailed on, he should have given a penalty for the Sane foul, he didn't and he should have given it for the Aguero foul, he didn't. My point is, he wasn't going to give either. My point is it has suddenly become a Taylor love in on here. Apart from the 2 decisons mentioned above he didn't make any bad calls but that is down to us not giving him a chance to do it.

Imagine if he ruled the goal out and gave a penalty, your head would have exploded. You cannot predict what he was/wasn't going to do. If you want to argue a case then argue over what he actually carried out. Someone said the Sane one continued in the area but I am yet to see it again, all I know from that was initially it was outside the box, regardless it was a foul which he didn't give. He could have very easily booked Fernanindho in that game without complaint, nothing to do with cynical fouls or agendas but he done well not to be carded as many have said on here. He didn't give them everything and we managed to win quite a few free kicks. He done his job well and that's all that needs to be said. If you want to discuss Wigan and Chelsea then fill your boots. No one would argue with you, them games he refereed very poorly, Sunday he didn't.

I can only say what I see, some on here, possibly you, said he was putting his whistle to his mouth when he decided to allow play on. He did not do anything of the sort. He was not going to give that penalty so I do not need to predict anything. I don't know why you cannot get your head round the fact that other teams would not have scored that goal and therefore there would have been no advantage. He did not 'play on' he ignored the offence, there is a difference.
In many respects I am not even complaing about what he did or did not do, I was commenting on the City love in for Raggy Taylor that is unfolding on here. He had 3 penalty decisions to make. He only gave one.
I am suprised you haven't watched highlights of the match yet, when you do, even Tyler and Ratboy say it was a penalty, except for the coomet that 'as he wasn't going to get onto Silvas pass it wasn't given' !!

Taylor did not have a good game, he had very little to do because we were that good but what he had to do, the big decisions, well 2 out of 3 he got wrong.

I didn't say he was as I haven't watched it back, others have though. The whole incident was done in about 2 seconds with the ball going in the net, you or I don't know what he was planning to give at that point if anything. You are saying he ignored the offence, again you cannot possibly know that. I am more than happy to slate him when he messes up like Chelsea and Wigan but after he has a good game you cannot give him shit over a scenario you have made up in your head. Signs of madness that.

You say he got two out of the three wrong, incorrect because we scored he had no decision to make. He had two big decisions then and got one right if you wish, that's an awful lot better than his usual performance. This thread was 60 odd pages long pre match on how he was going to shaft us apparently. He didn't and we won.

Some posters on here have said that when Aguero was fouled Raggy Taylor put the whistle to his lips and was going to blow for a penalty but he decidied to allow the advantage and play on. I have just watched it again. At no time does he put anything near his mouth until AFTER the ball has hit the net. He was NOT going to give the penalty. Fortunately we have professional players who do not stop to appeal, we play on. We did and we stopped Raggy Taylor from robbing us.
A n absolutely perfect riposte to the poster who thinks the incident was an example of 'perfectly good refereeing ".

Had he only sunk to 'poorly' level we might have seen Luiz red carded before Sergio decided to take the LotG into his own hands and we might have got a draw, and as for the Wigan match we'd still have been in the next round. He wasn't just poor, he was excruciatingly and execrably abysmal. I've said it before, and I will no doubt have to say it another ten times at least - after the CFC game he should have been red carded himself with a lifetime ban from whistling down Market Street.

But you can’t have it both ways, many said we should be too good for him to influence the game and we was. A lot of people said it wouldn’t matter because he’d change the game. He didn’t and we was too good. It’s not a love in it’s called getting your head out of your arse. This thread was 70 plus pages of us all suggesting he’d kill the game for us, some even saying they might not even go to the game! It’s only fair to then say when he actually reffed the game very well.
No he didn't ref the game very well.i,m sorry but thats just not true. When a professional footballer decides to smash a forearm accross the face of an opposing player,in the penalty area, that should mean only two things; red card and a penalty.

Ask Leroy Sane if he thought taylor reffed the game very well..

And also,as a City fan yourself, imagine the score was 0-0 and the game was a title decider, and the utd fan ref ignored that incident.would you still come on here saying how well he did? That incident was crying out for decisive action...just like taylor showed at Wigan in the cup,for a tackle which was a borderline yellow (Delph) yet he sent our player off!!! Not to mention the assault on Sergio in the penalty area earlier in the game, completely ignored by the ref.can u see a pattern developing here?

How much do you actually know about taylors reffereeing performances these past few years Tom? Because i can guarantee if you,d studied this cheat during games as much as i have you would see ,in context, exactly what the man is up to.

Leicester City v man utd ,the season when The Fortunate Foxes when reigning champions....taylor walks out at the start of the match proud as punch....and who wouldnt be after being selected by pigmol to control such a show peice event? A utd player does a dreadful challenge on an oppenent and he lets it go; a leicester player fouls a utd player...and Taylor comes bombing over from about 30 yards ,blowing his whistle, couldnt wait to get his book out.
It really is time this particular gig was stopped.its not in the spirit of the beautiful game, its really not.

No one will argue with you on that though and I certainly wouldn't stick up for him in them games. Fact is we ALL feared the worst and thankfully nothing happened.

I think how biased you are proves you cant be impartial and makes replying pointless really. I will anyway, so you are calling it a forearm smash then yeah? That isn't ott in the slightest is it, he blocked him off and was a foul debatable if it was even in the area but to describe it as that suggests you was sat waiting for something to moan about Taylor. He got that wrong yeah but fuck me the amount of refereeing and not just him I will take one decision missed over countless we sometimes see in games. You have lost it and you cannot comment on sundays performance in isolation, instead you keep referring to games where he was shocking with us. What the fuck has that got to do with Sunday, are you completely stupid? The fact the worst and most biased person on this forum likes your posts suggests how much shite you are talking.

I don't want Taylor reffing us, he shouldn't be involved in a derby and in the past he has stitched us up. Sunday he didn't and as a game he let it play and flow pretty well. Could of booked players early and didn't (despite the whole agenda police saying he will) go for a lie down and chill out, you are actually embarrassing yourself.
