Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

Ha, gwan Pep!

That headline puts Pep right in the mire. You are not allowed to mention referees before a game putting pressure on them. Surprised he didn't know this. The journalist asking, certainly would have. Ban incoming

Can I suggest that you ignore that headline and read what he actually said in his interview - no way could his comments have been interpreted as putting Taylor under pressure. To paraphrase he said "The ref will not want to make mistakes"

63 pages on BM and rising, must be a record, is evidence enough that something is not right about this appointment. Add on the Wigan and Chelsea matches where some of the decisions were at least, questionable, leads to the question why him. It’s a very high profile game and no matter how good the FA think he is , the game is not about him. He should be nowhere near it.

For both sides, specifically, as I understand.

My son, who went to the same school as Taylor, swears he is not a Scum fan.

I have stopped arguing with him, but somebody who lives so close to Manchester must have some affinity with one of the teams, either directly or via friends and relatives.

There is no way he should have got this appointment.

Am I alone in feeling an inevitability about this wanker today? Of course I will watch the game but since his appointment have felt a feeling of creeping doom to the point a nice walk in the country even if its pissing down maybe the better alternative.

I am far from convinced that I wont have fucked it off before the end.

My son didn’t go to school with him but swears he’s definitely a rag.

I find it incredulous that Taylor grew up in Wythenshawe, as did I and supported Altrincham. Obviously some people in Manchester do but how did he? Unless he had family who took him I just don't see it. None of my mates ever said, "Hey let's go and watch Altrincham!" Even when we weren't allowed to go to away games going to watch another local team didn't ever come up.

I think it’s a clever move by pep because he knows the punishment from the FA will likely we outweighed by the pressure on the ref in the game.

I said it earlier in the thread, but due to him possibly overcompensating to avoid further scrutiny......my feeling is that he will have a very good game that may even advantage us.

Lol .at your complete ignorance...im not gonna spell it out.either you do your own research or just keep laughing and reading the sun.; l
I dont need to do research. You were talking shit. Jill Dando conspiracies has got what to do with bias referee's? In fact I dont even want to know sounds like crazy talk.
