€100m release clause activates this summer. There are rumours that he's going to demand huge signing on fee from Barca, up to €30-40m.
So, 140m euros for Griezmann. Rather spend it on Mbappe.

If this is true, the fact that he would demand that type of money to sign for Barcelona is enough to put me off him.
I'd be lying if I said that I watched him week-in, week-out. I'm not really sure what he's like off the ball too but from what I have seen I think he'd be a gamble. He could come here and be the leading goal scorer or he could be the next Torres (at Chelsea) and be out of his depth. But then again, I really wanted City to sign Pogba and I thought Salah would be a bag of shit for Liverpool.

I'm sure you would. But as he is almost certainly not an option would you spend 140 on Griezmann? So, 140m euros for Griezmann. Rather spend it on Mbappe.
Cheers for that mate. Like I said, I often get it wrong; I know little more about football than Paul Merson knows.I don't think he would be much of a gamble mate. Even if he doesn't hit record numbers in terms of goals scored, it won't be a problem as he's an excellent link-up player, much better than Aguero. And Jesus has a long way to go to get to the same level.
Pricey, yes, but probably the best chance for City to improve their attack and make it more clinical in 'big' games. Pep is Antoine's admirer since Sociedad days for a reason.
Let's get real: Mbappe will become PSG player this summer, he's unavailable to City. I don't fully understand why City mouthpiece Sam Lee keeps mentioning him in podcasts and articles. Perhaps the Club declares its long-term interest in Mbappe this way. Or that could be a way to distract attention from real targets.
No, I mean he's the best option that could be available this summer. Messi and Mbappe are better, Martial and Dembele are younger, but they're not gettable. But Griezmann is worldclass, little doubt about it.Cheers for that mate. Like I said, I often get it wrong; I know little more about football than Paul Merson knows.
You said you think it's our best chance to improve our attack. Personally I think there's a lack of out-and-out strikers around at the moment; do you think he's just the best of a bad bunch as such? Maybe not the best way to put it but you know what I mean.
Didn't try to analyze it using stats. But he plays in a team that doesn't create much and has learned to be pretty accurate with his shots. Has buried Pep's Bayern in 2016 CL semis. Also, I know we're close to the 'most goals scored in a season' record and I know some people get a bit upset when talking negative about our forwards but we've been really wasteful in front of goal, is Griezmann a clinical finisher?
Yes, their main penalty taker.Does he take penalties for Atletico?

He's not an out-and-out striker, more like a 'false 9' that likes to drop to midfield, drift to the wings and engage in short passing combinations. I think he can play both as CF and inside forward. Very hard-working and suitable for pressing game. Very quick-thinking. Not a good dribbler. To put it simply, he's a more mature version of GJesus.
Not sure Guardiola is interested in a pure striker, his tactics demand more versatile attackers, hence City's attempts to get Sanchez. It's important for him to have forwards that can pass and create overloads in different parts of the pitch, not just wait for the ball to hit it.

Yes, their main penalty taker.
Here's a good analysis of Griezmann's strong points:

Suarez.Who does he replace in Barca's starting 11?
