Good shout, I'd be happy with this. Even despite being in a shite Blackburn side the season before they got relegated he managed to keep 13 clean sheets. His 5 year contract must be near an end also if I'm not mistaken?

We could do a lot worse than Shay.

Still lives in the North West (I believe), "gets" the club and a proven top flight keeper.

Shay Given for me too.

He is definitely not coming back to the North East as his house is up for sale (<a class="postlink" href="http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-35154313.html?premiumA=true#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for ... iumA=true#</a>) :)

Silva's shirt on his wall

Scwartzer for two Seasons then Juicy for two Seasons and then in 4 years time Tim Howard for two Seasons.

The other route as someone earlier has suggested is go down the USA route. They just have to have a great young keeper somewhere who could come in with Joe Hart for a year or two.

One turned us down before and the other is a rag.
There must be better options.

However, if Howard would do some interviews for citytv, that alone may be worth his wages

Alex McCarthy, hands down. He's going to overtake Hart as Englands #1 in a few years. Good, young, english..
