Any sensible weight loss advice?

it doesnt depend on how you weigh it's what the weight is from, if it's from muscle it's fine not fat, even if you put weight on with working out properly it's just replacing the fat you had with muscle so theres no problem..
 
Firstly well done for your efforts so far.

I really think you've hit your limit now. The additional weight will come off with excercise. How far from work do you live? I used to work in Stockport and would cycle 3 days a week from Oldham, a 20 mile round trip. The weight fell off to such an extent people at work thought I was ill. Cycling is great excercise, saves a fortune in petrol and got me to work just as quickly as the car and I really enjoyed it so much so that I go for long rides for no reason.

It may be hard at firts so build into it gradually but seriously, it works.
 
I know a girl, lovely girl she is but she is a bit hefty. What annoys me is that she moans about her weight and bangs on about dieting, but I have seen the same girls eat 3 wispas in a day and get thrown out of a chinese buffet. Most people who are big, I find are that way because they eat too much of the wrong stuff and excersise to little.... I don't really go in for all this metabolism stuff.

This. Eating your first meal earlier in the day boosts the metabolism, meaning your body works harder for longer in the day to burn the food you eat. Add exercise (half an hour a day is ok - not necessarily running, but just being active) which will also increase your metabolism rate.

Some people find that doing the exercise before eating in the morning, especially cardio, burns the fat reserves that get stored up while you sleep. So basically you are burning nothing but fat. For the rest of the day eat little but often - every 2-3 hours. Personally I eat my bananas or weetabix at about 8am after a morning run, get to work and eat an apple and some toast at about 10am. Then I'll have a tuna or chicken salad at about midday. At 14:00 I'll eat a chicken breast with a bit of mash or beans and then have a light snack at about 16:00 - usually watermelon and a few grapes. I have whatever I want for me tea at about 19:00 and maybe a light supper at about 22:00 (cottage cheese for a slow burning protein virtually carb free).
