Anybody Been On A Cruise ?

Went a a Norwegian Fjords cruise a couple of years ago. It was absolutely fantastic.

Be prepared for none of your clothes to fit when you get home, though!

5 weeks on a ship to Australia with loads of other £10 Poms in the 60s then another 5 weeks coming back 2 years later has put me off 'cruise' ships for life, dreadful

Have you seen those magic metal flying bird thingys in the sky , it's like magic or are you from Wigan

it was the early 1960s, if you chose to emigrate to Australia it was a joint government scheme, hence you was packed off on a ship crammed in with thousands of others you didn't have a choice they kept I as cheap as possible hence the saying ''£10 Poms'' google it, it will give you nightmares

We got off in Fremantle not the penal colony at Botany Bay lol

Went up the Ship Canal on the Iris when I was 12. Weather was shite, not much scenery, bar was shut and the strippers weren't up to much. Not going on one again thank you very much.

The Greek Chandris line ship Ellinis, we arrived in 1963, we eventually settled in Beaconsfield Fremantle but my Mam and Dad split up as my Mam hated it and she brought us back
We came back on an Italian ship called M/N Aurelia, I'v just dug ut my 'crossing the Equator certificate' that is dated 6.11.65 i'v kept it all those years lol
