Me and the Mrs have discussed it many times, i have a thing for boats and dislike flying, they are a bit too pricey though from what i have seen
Depends on the cruise you pick, went on one about 6 years ago and for the service food and entertainment was a superb break & if you were to cost going to a show every evening after a top quality 5 course meal....hilts said:Me and the Mrs have discussed it many times, i have a thing for boats and dislike flying, they are a bit too pricey though from what i have seen

This is the problem i would be happy without the show and the 5 course meal, i would imagine the alcohol is quite expensive as well
I have heard of more informal cruises and even heard of all inclusive ones, not seen many about though

Sick of airports, car hire, finding somewhere to eat etc, no decisions to make for 2 weeks
People seem to either love these things or hate them
I suppose Im a c**t for doing this ?

LOL. Done that as well and you certainly do get temple overload by the end. But all those three, plus Valley Of The Kings, were well worth seeing. It was nice and cosy to, with only about 60 people on the boat and a couple of dozen British among them. You actually got to know people by the end of the week.droylsdenblue said:Did enjoy the Nile cruise although the heat was a killer and there is a chance of contacting templeitis ie when you've seen a wall off hieroglyphics you've seen them all but Abu Simbel, philae and Karnak were well worth seeing.
