Depends on the cruise you pick, went on one about 6 years ago and for the service food and entertainment was a superb break & if you were to cost going to a show every evening after a top quality 5 course meal....

This is the problem i would be happy without the show and the 5 course meal, i would imagine the alcohol is quite expensive as well

I have heard of more informal cruises and even heard of all inclusive ones, not seen many about though

Not so sure, i have seen plenty where you get a certain amount of cashback to spend on board, me and the mrs have done the night ones to bruges(sp) and amsterdam on a deal which was really cheap, but f**k me we spent a fortune at the bar, a week on the piss with my mrs is not good for the bank balance

I quite fancy taking the missus on one, Chauffeur to Southampton to New York on Queen Mary 2, stay New York for 5 days, then travel back to Southampton on QM2 and chauffeur back to Manchester. About 3 years ago it cost 9 grand :(
Decided it was a bit steep

Just booked our first one im March, 2 weeks from Brisbane circumnavigating New Zealand (both islands) get to see the glaciers in the south and all the main places.

Sick of airports, car hire, finding somewhere to eat etc, no decisions to make for 2 weeks

People seem to either love these things or hate them

I suppose Im a c**t for doing this ?

Firstly, you being a c**t has nothing to do with going on a cruise

Secondly, you forgot to put old before c**t

See you later in the Music Association Game thread LOL

And by the way I've been on 6 or 7 cruises and will be doing more in the future, me and Mrs Prague love them

Have butchers at this I reckon this will be right up your street fella http://www.figleafvillas.co.uk/ . Judging by open mindness goes attitude down here in the cellar I suspect a few of you may be booking in here too.

We did a Caribbean cruise a few years back and it wasn't for us, most places had nothing to see except for a cricket ground and we ended up sitting on a beach most days so may as well have stayed in an hotel in a decent resort for what it cost.
Did enjoy the Nile cruise although the heat was a killer and there is a chance of contacting templeitis ie when you've seen a wall off hieroglyphics you've seen them all but Abu Simbel, philae and Karnak were well worth seeing.

LOL. Done that as well and you certainly do get temple overload by the end. But all those three, plus Valley Of The Kings, were well worth seeing. It was nice and cosy to, with only about 60 people on the boat and a couple of dozen British among them. You actually got to know people by the end of the week.
