Anybody work for SKY who can help with a renewal deal?

Yep it's 18 months already.
Phoned them going via the "I want to cancel" option.
My original £56 for everything except BT sports with SKYQ UHD and five mini boxes had crept up to £62 with a yearly (£2) price increase.
However this now includes Netflix UHD which had gone up to £12 standalone. But saved me £8pm at the time to let SKY bill me. (extra £4 on the SKY bill etc)

Couldn't have been easier. When asked why i was leaving just said my deal had come to an end, and i know cancelling is the best way to get a good deal.
He clicked away for a minute and came back with £59.50pm for 18 months!
I didn't expect a reduction, but there was a £20 admin fee to pay. Load of bollocks i know, but i will still save £25.
I was warned there would still be annual price rises.
F#ck me how many TV rooms do you have?

I found using the sky online chat good for negotiating a renewal. I went down the route of telling them about an offer Virgin had and that I was going to cancel if they didn't improve their renewal and the guy dropped the price.

It's time once again to play the scurrilous Sky game of cat and mouse, but why oh why can they not just delete their undulating dross and cut to the chase. I really have little time for long winded folk (gulp) that waltz around in an arse about face fashion like the world owes them a favour . We need more direct leadership to get the job done and make everyone down in dear old TV land happy folk, pleasant contented folk who are happy to subscribe for the full duration. Well we have been very content indeed paying £54 for our 18 month tenure that rose to £56 with the CSI index, so no mither and fair fooks in a modern day suburbia setting.

Our package is everything excluding the broadband but includes multi-room and ultra HD. We telephoned them and spoke with an agent who offered £80 for another 18 month slog, and how splendidly affable of him to put himself out on a limb in such difficult times as these. We said we shall call again on the 1st December to cancel down and so begins the dastardly game to hand. I will update again as and when, but in the meantime what deals are forumites calling? Was difficult to know where to post as we have so many good threads on the subject matter. As recanted many times If we work together we survive to hopefully let the sun shine down on us for another 18 months. A-ha!

They are doing a deal just now of Sky Signature + Sky Sports + BT Sports for £52. If you add on the ultimate tv add on for netflix £6, HD charge £8, and multi screen £12.50. Gets you to £78.50 which is not unreasonable given it includes BT sport. I got that deal last week. Obv doesn’t include sky movies but frankly there are not enough good films made to justify the extra £5-10 involved. Let me know if you get a better deal mate.

5 mini boxes = Three kids rooms. Our bedroom and the kitchen... :)
They are a godsend. No more wires running across the house.
Just a shame they don't allow non SKY broadband to use them as a wi-fi mesh.
I'm not leaving Virgins massive download speeds no matter how bad their customer service is.

I pay about £35 /month for Sky Q, UHD, Sports, movies, ultimate add-on and Netflix. Don't have broadband, multiroom or kids channels.
Then I pay £25 for BT Sport when I need it.

Rang up for that offer as they kept sending letters saying I had a good offer waiting.

That said, couldn't get UHD for the City game on Sunday, looks like they've changed something.

I pay £54 for Sky Q, Sky TV, Sky Sports, BT Sport, HD (I had UHD but didn't think it was worth £4 extra after a few months). I also paid £99 as a one off for Premier Sports earlier in the year so I have every available Sport channel.

We have just subscribed with BT sport on the sky platform as they did a deal if I moved to their Halo 1 @ £13 a month with free HD. So we will be looking for the full package minus the BT sport. An option if they don't play ball could be to get the TV from BT and have the full show all under one umbrella. Anyone got any experiance of BT for their TV platform. I have to say the sky Q 2 platform is very user friendly and easy to navigate.

My daughter had BT TV and didn’t like it at all. She got rid. I binned BT sport as part of my BT internet deal after we went out to Lyon. i now get BT sport from sky as part of the deal I mentioned. It costs £13pm as part of that deal. hope you aren’t being charged more than that.

Interested in IPTV for when I’m out of my current deal with Virgin. But I’m not exactly clued up on what it is, how I get it, if it’s legal etc? I’m guessing it’s legal until the point when you decide to watch things you would normally need a subscription for? In layman’s terms, how does one obtain “IPTV”? Are there IPTV services to avoid or are they all essentially the same? I have a Samsung TV if that makes any difference whatsoever as to how I get it.

Google is your friend. Many will do a free trial. Having IPTVisnt illegal, but as you suggest, it's when you start to stream things...

You will need to ensure your anymosity, so a good VPN needed too.

No it's reduced to £13 because I have their Halo with free HD

Is your tv a proper smart tv that you can download apps to?
