Anyone else feeling a bit nervous about Mancini's signings?

Which world marquee is going to come in Jan? Short term good players will be the order of the day to balance the squad and then pockets open in Summer. Of course Mancini could go out and overspend on players that won't improve our squad and then buy a few superstars in Summer. Of course then we'd have a squad of 50 (including englands 4th & 5th choice centre halfs, fullbacks and right wingers) and a giant wage bill.

I think Roberto has identified what we are missing, and most of us on here have debates about it on here, and that's leaders, not saying Viera will be our captain but he's a leader full stop, who will surely be great to have around the club, I dont for 1 minute invisage Roberto signing a team full of 32+ year old players but 1 or 2 is what we need in our squad.

Yes.For example Hughes was looking at players like Lahm,Toure ....Now we are linked with so many pensioners.Viera,Corboda,Veron....

Yet you conveniently ignore that we have also been linked with Ansaldi (23), Kjaer (20), the 2 Sampdoria CBs who are both early 20s, Balotelli (19 or 20), Boateng (20) and Moses (not sure on age but again a youngster), plus probably others that I can't recall.

You also conveniently ignore Hughes being linked with Upson, Parker and other such youngsters.

Ultimately managers want to bring in some young talent and a few more experienced players. Hughes, Mancini and pretty much all managers (Wenger excepted) are the same in this regard.

If we could pull off Ansaldi, Kjaer, Balotelli, Boateng, Moses and Viera, I would be very happy. Do we need all of them, I don't think so but it would be a great window needless to say.

When a manager signs Maicon for £3.5m and Julio Cesaer on a free, add to that the signing of an unknown youngster in Mario Balloteli and, i have no worries whatsoever!
