Anyone else feeling a bit nervous about Mancini's signings?

It's just dawned on me that whilst Bobby has started fantastically, and is clearly a tactically astute coach..I've no idea what he's like at identifying signings.

IMO Hughes had a really good eye for a player (e.g Kompany, De Jong,Bellamy, Tevez etc), to the extent that I felt comfortable that he would buy well in January. His weakness being that he wasn't the best at making tactical decisions during the game.

With Bobby It's a case of fingers crossed as I've no idea..could anyone give me an idea as to any past inspired signings he's made...help me sleep a bit easier?!

(p.s I think Vieira is going to be a fantastic signing, so so far so good!)
No.... Look what he did for Inter Milan!

as with every previous manager we have had, i trust whoever he decides to bring in...whether i think it is the right or wrong decison, have faith in who the manager brings in

Do you know what..and i'm being totally honest here..I have followed City for nearly 40 years, and like most of us on this forum, all family events/work commitments etc are scheduled around what City are doing, most of the books I read are City related, I and my kids are season ticket holders, I like nothing more than sitting down to watch jimmy Grimble, or re-runs of the derby wins. I play 5 aside, and always proudly wear my City shirt with the same enthusiasm I did as a 6 year old kid. in short I love the club and everything it stands for with a passion..however..I would not call myself a "football" fan, in that I have come to realise that i have no interest in games that do not involve City, or that have no affect on City. I watch other Premier league games, because the result affects us..but I hardly bother with Champions league..I'm not even that bothered about England games, although do tend to get a bit swept up in the world cup. I don't read world soccer, 442 magazine or when Saturday comes, but I do spend too much time on blue moon.

Therefore i can honestly say, when conversations move onto foreign managers, and overseas players i am fairly igonorant.

Yes I know Mancini was successful, and won 3 league titles etc, I remember being aware of him as at top player, but couldn't say I remember great goals he scored for Lazio or Sampdoria...(although bizarrley I remember his debut for Leicester!)

What I don't know..and this was the point of my original post.. is what sort of success he's had in unearthing great players that no one had really heard of before..or did he just inherit a good team and coach them well.

Thankfully some of the earlier posters have put my mind at rest, and I am now happy that we seem to have a top bloke at the helm.

So for all of you who have responded in a positive way and answered my original question thank you..to those of you who decided to only half read it and respond with sarcastic remarks...well there's no point in saying anything because you probably haven't bothered to read this far!

Rant over

Very good, I do like reading a rant that is clearly typed as you would say it.
I fully understood your point by the way, I to didn't know too much about Bobby before December but judging on tactical decisions and performances so far, I think we're gonna be ok whoever he buys.
