Anyone else sick of hearing from our gobby players?

Sick to death of it TBH, its ruining the moral of the fans so what must it be doing within the squad ? Mancini cant man manage the problem away it would seem, the only option left is to discard the trouble causers with extreme prejudice.

The thing is though, if Mancini knows he has a player that won't be in his 25, whether we agree or not with his judgement, why should he be wasting time making sure they are happy?

They need to find another club and when they do everything will settle down. If these players then decide to sit on their contracts having been told that they won't be in the 25 and refuse to move, we have a problem, but I'm not sure what Mancini can do about that.

I am agreeing with you but I don't see how Mancini's man management skills, or perceived lack of, could make the situation any better. Do players that Mourinho tells to find another club skip around Real Madrid happy as Larry? I doubt it, but he's still a great man manager.

How can you be so sure, its Mancinis man management that is wrong? if im not mistaken he has man manged Balotelli,Zlatan, mataratzi,Adriano.
If a player has a problem why doesnt he take contact first? who can Mancini know what they are thinking? I Dont like hughes, everyone knows that, but when he was in charge i supportert him 100 per cent, with Elano,Dunne,Given. and so on.

I have yet to find one reason why Mancini does not deserv our support! its really not fair to him to be alone right now, against idiot players, the media, the pressure from the owners and now on top of it our fans. remember the one and only person who really is on our side is the manager, he dont have his own agenda like players or owners. (OBS i used owners as an example not to bash on our owners)

Our basic problem is that we have too many players and are likely to recruit still more, which inevitably causes uncertainty and disquiet in the squad.

In most clubs the squads are fairly stable. Players generally know where they stand, where they fit in the pecking order, whether they are likely to be a first choice of just a squad player. There will be some players that are in and out of the team, but not that many, and those that are will have a good idea whether they are progressing or going backwards.

At City, hardly any of the players have any security over their place in the squad. We have players such as Bellamy, Given, Robinho, Ireland & Adebayor who only last year were regarded as elite players but now see others coming in to potentially take their place.

Until we have a settled sqad we're bound to see this unrest, bickering, players falling out with the manager. Any manager would have problems keeping such a large group of players happy.

That's one of the reasons why we are unlikely to win the league this season.

Sadly far too much truth in this. Man management is the biggest issue of the lot for Mancini and he has done nothing to dispell concerns that he is not very good at it. Too many names are alledgedly saying things which suggest dissatisfaction and as more names get added ( Balotelli is easy to handle isn't he!!!) and some get discarded I fear the discontent will only get worse.

It is my biggest concern for the season as well.

However, I do harbour a little hope that once we get under way, he'll get us winning and none of it will matter.

Definately my biggest concern. The infighting and bad press from unhappy players is unsettleing for the fans and must be much worse within the squad. The only option I can see is to get rid of the offending players however good and important they are.

I would love the likes of Given, Bellamy, Nedum, Ireland to stay and fight for their place, keep their mouth shut and be team players but unfortunately it looks very unlikely it will happen.

I look at the squad list and find it annoying that players like Jo, RSC, Robinho, Viera might end up taking these players places in the 25 man squad. On paper its not the best thing for the team, club and fans certainly.

I just wonder in highsignt if it will have been worth going for those final 2 players - Milner and Mario with the unsetteling effect it had on the squad.

Just like it wasnt worth bringing in Lescott at the expense of Dunne last season. For me with the instability it is causing and the questionable improvement the players will give in the short term its just not been worth the effort money and risk.

We should have also made more of an effort to clear the dead wood more quickly, its not good having so many surplus players hanging around, RSC, Caicedo, Robinho, Jo, Ethuhu etc etc etc.

I'm sick of hearin' them moan too .....

rotation is the name of the game these days at most , if not all , of the top clubs ........ if we , as fans , have to get used to it , so can they!

i wish someone would pay me top money for parkin' my arse on a bench for 90 minutes.

Yer right, BM me too, I'd park me arse on the bench for half the loot, I'd even volunteer to wash the shirts after the match.

Ye don't get it do ye..
You can't treat players badly no matter how much they're paid, or whether they're under contract.
You can't expect to treat them badly but expect them to keep their mouths shut and toe the line.

I mean look at Bellamy, look at Given, no one tries harder than them, no one gives more, no one will work harder for the jersey than they will. I meam all they have said is that they desperately want to stay and play with the club. Whatever about Bellamy, Given is deffinetly not the type to speak out the way he did.

Treating players badly only ends badly, regardless of contracts or how much they're paid.
They're not robots, you gotta realise that these guys aren't just puppets.

Most players' definition of being treated right = being picked every week.

I would guess that the new 25-player rule has prompted much of the moaning as a few players remain unsure as to whether they'll be included.

It'll all settle down once the transfer window is closed and the squads have been declared.

Well a thread that most aggree on me too

I wonder if the club have read this because it sound as if we have a few prima donnas and they have achieved fuck all you would think for the sake of the supporters they would try to pull together stop moaning and try to win something before they start their whingeing
