Anyone given up coffee?

Not convinced it's to do with the coffee.

I think some people have strong and weak parts of the day. I've seen some people who can get up in a flash but come 8\9pm they're already flagging badly.

that's me that is....always early riser, body just gets used to it, always flayed by 8pm unless it's a beer night then I manfully struggle on

Coffee was my business but i hate it so always declined offers from clients with the excuse that i've had loads today already, nobody knew i think it's rank

I drink bulletproof coffee because I'm keto.

Coffee, butter, double cream, MCT oil, hot water -blended.

That might sound horrific to most people but it's bloody great on keto.

I hardly drank coffee before but find one of these daily very beneficial nowadays.

I make my own drinks but I have stopped buying from the millions of coffee shops. Their prices are laughable. Those coffee machines in petrol stations...undrinkable.

I start the day with an espresso or cappuccino (if I can be arsed steaming the milk), and then have anywhere between 3 and 6 cups of strong instant during the day when I'm a at work. I always have a cappuccino when I get home from work.

Weekends I'll have a couple of cappuccino's at breakfast, maybe another one early/mid-afternoon and another one after tea (Double shot in the AM, single shot PM).

If I get to 15 or 16 hours without caffeine I start to get a headache, and anything over 20 hours and it becomes unbearable, and I start to feel pretty shabby.

The longest I have gone is 3 weeks, and it wasn't pleasant.

Used to suffer terrible migraines 2-3 times a week at least. The type where the only remedy was to sit in a blacked out room for an indefinite amount of time. Really messed my work up etc.

I went to Florida in April 2017 and because it was so hot, I didn’t want a coffee (or anything other than a cold bottle of water). When I was on the flight home I realised what I’d done (totally abstained, albeit accidentally), and I haven’t touched coffee (or tea) since.

In the 2 years since I’ve only had one migraine, so I will never touch it again.

I had a similar revelation. I travel to London a lot with work and years back I would travel down to attend 4 or 5 meetings in a day and also typically end up having 5 - 6 Coffee's when doing it - normally i might have 1 and tend to drink tea. I would always suffer on the train back on these London days, generally feel ill, get the shits and a headache. I put it down to the hectic traveling but I thought on one occasion i'd try and watch my diet. I went a day with only 1 or 2 cups of tea and the difference was instant. Felt fine. I rarely drink coffee now.

To all the naysayers I would just like to say that when the Iran crisis worsens which it will and they fail to to get "the beans" through the straights then don't come courting favour with me as you make your bed and you lie in it. Be prepared for all and every eventuality and think ahead of the game by taking ownership and making yourself proactive.

Hormuz straights.
