Jose would not be my No1 choice by any means, but compared to the tosh we have had to put up with this season, its a no-brainer.
There's only one no-brainer here and that's you mate. It's entirely possible we will have our best or joint best ever finish in the Premiership, together with our best ever home record and being two free kicks against the woodwork from a UEFA Cup semi and that's tosh?

I think that if God was our manager and had Moses, Jesus & Allah as his assistants then some of you still wouldn't be happy.

If we are going to bring up examples of 'what ifs' then there would be just as many showing that we were in fact lucky to be in the QF, lucky to be where we are in the PL etc etc. This seasons 'what ifs' have all turned into 'what the f**ks'!

But the reality is that we have had a very good 3 game run in the PL, thats all. The home Uefa game, we won, but we went out.

Believe me PB, i was all for Hughes in the first few months, but the Forest game ended up being the straw that broke tha camels back for me. I was already unhappy with his tactics, team selection, man-management etc. However, if he can finish the season by taking us to 7th, then i am more than happy to give him a stay of execution, but im not holding my breath.

And like i say, compare him to JM and its still, imo, a no-brainer! (just like me iyo!!!)

LOL

Would Buddah be on the bench?

No, he's in goals, cos he'd fill it.

so we're saying basically the same thing as we were in january.... if one domino falls, the rest will follow. mourinho, ibra, kaka, tevez. otherwise, it'll be as we read in the papers, hughes, crouch, etc.

both boooooooooring.

could someone please start a van gaal, benzema, aguero rumour? is it just me who'd prefer to be buying the youngsters and moulding them into a perfect footballing team?

Ia with you on this mate wever right now we are not up there with the teams that these younger guys want to be at, reputation wise wqe cant compete at the mo with Barca, Madrid, AC, Inter etc however give it 18/24 mths and these guys will see the appeal of MCFC as we will have gone from edge of Europe qualification to challenging for the honours. Then I could see a shift into buying the type / age of players mentioned.

If it is to be Jose dont forget that he did buy a mix of youth and experience at Chelsea - bought Cech (who seems about 50 but only early 20s when he signed), SWP, Kalou...... along with some dinosaurs too mind ! ha ha

16 league defeats is not too good though is it? plus the shambolic Cup exits.....
No one's claiming it was a perfect season and it's not like we've never had a shambolic cup exit either. But it's been a damn sight better overall than most of the last three or four seasons and hardly "tosh".

I've just read all 37 pages and my eyes are bleeding now.

IMHO I think Hughes will go in summer, we've done ok but we've not been consistent enough. Our away record is shocking.
We couldn't flex our financial muscles in January as most great players probably saw who the manager was and thought no thanks. The summer should be an exciting time to see who goes/stays.

We were all surprised when we bought Robinho so I'm expecting the unexpected.

Im not comparing this season to the last three or four. All have indeed been 'tosh'!

Just so many defeats against genuinly crap clubs, two first round exits, and more money spent than in any season in our history, make this that little bit harder to swallow.
