Anyone want us to go out of the Europa League on Thursday?

Since when did we become so arrogant or bored of winning trophies that we don't care if we go out on a competition that is as prestigious as the Europa League?

Where's that winning mentality?

We are going to beat Kiev on Thursday.

the basis of a winning mentality is the awareness of our own strength. but also of our own limits

yes we can.

now you should ask me if we can beat dynamo and then dont lose at bridge on sunday......

im just preying we can score 3 and keep them out

hopefully on a better pitch we can play our own game.

get an early goal and anything is possible...!

We need to win it this season to be 2/3rds of the way to a full collection.

The Cup Winner's cup must be amounst the top 3 highlight's of City's history.

the UEFA rating thing have a sense , but i believe you can agree with me that if we even should win the europa league and get a better ranking without then get the CL spot it wouldnt be a great deal.

the experience thing instead is nothing , we have a few already experinced and other we will buy in summer , so we currently may be giving experience to some average players that we get rid of in summer.

Yep, got you general point.
Though on the other* - losing 4th position in PL, getting EL this year and spending next season just playing around in EL with second squad (just for the sake of experience)
+ winning Premier League (Arsenal, MU will be bother with another futile European crusade) next year - that's not the worst scenario. :)

*4th place only guarantees qualification round of CL next season and it's a tricky thing with low UEFA rating I have to say.
I remember how Dynamo fought in late 90ies to reclaim a decent rating for the club and the country (in 1991 all USSR's UEFA/FIFA ratings were inherited by Russia even though Ukrainian Dynamo and Dnipro earned most of them) for fair seeding in qualification and group stage.
It's not that critical for Man City at the moment, since club had nice performance in 2008/09 UC and average English rating is quite hight.

As for experience... we'll see, we'll see.

Maybe 4th place for Man City. But you should not just disregard Europa League, if you have won nothing in decades why just discount this passage to quarter final of European tournament?

I would love to see DK score an early goal and kill the tie, but it all depends in the mentality of Mancini. Early goal for City and it's game on.
