Why can they not make there own mind up? We do not live in North Korea.

His lads do make up their own mind, he turns the rep down for himself as he doesnt want to join a Union, but they keep mitherin his lads.

What do you not understand about it? Glen makes choices about joining unions for himself, not his workforce, they make their own minds up!!
Calm down now. I think you are blinded by loyalty to a friend, you are wrong. He is anti union and admits that, it`s his choice, but when he jumps on a thread to put down somebody genuinely wants to improve his and fellow workers pay and conditions, then he should be prepared for other forum members to put the union side across and show how self centered he is. I would not be suprised if he actually had his forum user name on his city shirt. Just so everybody knows who he is.

If i could post cat pictures from work i would.

Dafuq? I aint the one getting on my fucking high horse over what he says about unions or their reps. Your blinded by the fact you're wrong but wont admit it when its only you who is seeing it as this anti union babble you're banging on about. So what he doesnt do a union for himself, but how many times does it have to be spelt out to you that he doesnt stand in the way of his lads being in one.

As for the forum name on his shirt, for that comment, you sir are a bellend.

Or alternatively, my fellow trade unionist could just be pissed off that, once again, a thread where a lad was asking for advice about a work issue and he mentioned trade unions the usual suspects couldn't wait to post slagging trade unionists off.

Anyway, anyone know if the OP got his problem sorted?

He got absolutely loads of good advice about what to do, including joining the union that relates to his trade, and approaching the learning centre he is affiliated with.

One poster said he wasn't too keen on unions and neither were his lads, and next salute Captain Scargill accused him of locking the gates on the Union rep in some kind of reverse strike. A load of bollocks about nothing because people don't read what's in front of them.

You stated that `you politelyturn down the RMT rep that badgers my lads`. Therefore you are denying them access to a trade union rep that they are entitled to speak to. They are also allowed access to a union H&S Rep by law. If you are doing this you are breaking the law and would also be in breach of your contract of employment.

To be fair i read that as glen turns them down for himself, i dont see a quote where he says he doesnt allow his lads to join any Union.
Sorry mate but he clearly states `i shall continue to politely turn down th RMT rep, that badgers my lads from time to time also..`. Seems clear to me.
Says more about you.

-- Wed May 30, 2012 6:18 pm --

No he is not turning down lads who keep mithering `his` lads. He is turning away an elected rep or nominated safety rep.

Read it again..

I shall continue to politely turn down the RMT rep, that badgers my lads from time to time also..

He will turn down the rep (for himself) that keeps mitherin his lads (who act on their own)

It seems that only you have read it that he makes the choices for them, yet everyone else can see it how its pointed out.
Why can they not make there own mind up? We do not live in North Korea.
But you'd like us to... Now learn to read or sod off you dim witted wum. You are totally ignoring what Glen actually said. That's your fault, not his. No one else is confused.
