If not how the hell would i go about starting one?

Yes, that is the way forward, a union for fucking tea boys and girls! This would be the killer for a lot of apprenticeships. I know i wouldn't take one on, if they enquired about unions. 'Tory dickhead" lol.

Tea boys and girls? piss off mate, you try working at £2.50 ph.

I believe alot of companys use this "apprenticeship" as a loop hole to pay young people like my self slave labour wages.

I think everyone who works (even as an apprentice) should be entitled to the NMW.

No Union will be able to help you with that mate, the Apprentice rate is set by the government. You should think about getting into a different sector if you want to earn more money short-term.

But you are learning a skill/trade! What about those collecting trolly's, flipping burgers or waiting staff? They are doing the same thing day in day out.

Oh and when i was 16/17 i was on £27.50 a week, in a YTS! I was just thankfull that i got dosh by other means! We don't need to stop 'earning' when the day job ends.....

If you went to college or Uni to learn a trade you would get sweet fuck all, in fact it would cost you to go to Uni.

I agree completely, even though you are learning, you're still working, so it is a way companies get around the minimum wage, it's abhorrent IMO
