Are City fans the best in England?

a) Loyalty - Nobody beats us. Newcastle have had title challenges, cup finals and Champions Lg footy to attract fans. We've had nothing at all!
b) Louder - Sunderland@SoL are the loudest when they get going, best in the country for it. Mainly because of their stadium with it mainly being one big tier all the way round (with a little bit of a second tier above a bit of it). Villa with the Holt End when they can be arsed to get going are very loud n'all. 14500 that stand holds, great stand! Stoke are overrated IMO, but still louder than us. Wolves are loud too, as are both Sheffield clubs two good sets of fans them!
c) Better song variety - United have dozens and dozens of songs. We maybe have a dozen that get sung regularly, which is a huge amount compared to Arsenal and Spurs who hardly sing any songs at all. Liverpool have a lot of good songs as well.
d) Humour - Scousers? NOT A CHANCE MATE! I never hear them chanting funny stuff, off the cuff, like we do! Villa fans are funny, they are original with it and off the cuff. When we beat them 4-0 at Christmas they were really funny and sharing some good banter without being dicks! But we are brilliant for this. One of our best assets for a set of fans!
e) Matchday atmosphere - Liverpool have good banners but that's about it. I think the Poznan is the best thing in English football for a long long time AS LONG AS WE DON'T RINSE IT TOO MUCH!!!
f) Numbers - I think we can be a bit shit on the numbers side considering the size of our club, the size of our city, our situation (most 'on the up' club in world football!). We haven't filled the CoMS once this season! and many away games go on open sale! Blackpool, Sunderland, Wolves, Everton, Newcastle, Spurs, Stoke, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and United can take more than us on a given day to away games.

But I suppose we fair fairly well in each of those catagories. Which makes us pretty good fans. But we aren't the best fans in the country, we have far too many who are far too quiet at the CoMS!

best post ever

We have sold out Coms loads of times this season, in the sense that general ticket sales have sold out. Although Possibly corporate tickets may have still been available.

Whether were the best or not is open to interpretation on how you judge a set of supporters. Pretty comfortable with who we are as a set of fans.

"sold out" was probably the wrong term. Maybe I should have used "filled" because we haven't filled the CoMS once this season, not like we did in the first two years at CoMS. There are ALWAYS empty seats no matter who we play.

We still have a sense of humour ( Balo song) but how can you call us the best when some of the fans publicly mock the death of human beings despite ex city legend Colin Bell and current manager Mancini asking the fans to behave and be respectful. Yes, I know its boring but it bothers me that fans want to bring shame on their own club. Were far from the best. Clubs like West Brom, Norwich and Newcastle have some of the best fans.

From an away fans perspective i would give a shout to Derby. When we played them a couple of seasons ago at Pride Park on a cold wednesday night they didn't stop all game. The place was buzzing for 90 odd minutes.

Also...

Sheffield Wednesday. Jumping up and down like nutters in the cup game a while back.

I think people have always missed but with families being located in one stand its a lot more noticeable as naturally on winters nights such as Everton parents have chosen not to take their kids. Previously these no-shows would have been spread around the ground but now located in one stand its more highlighted.

Not to say other people havent missed just that naturally, kids due to weather, school etc are more a bit more likely

Absolutely not. Was sat up near the back off L3 of CB today and the abuse hurled at Balotelli was vile to put it mildly.

Exactly. The bias against one of our very own players is awful. There are a few good fans up here, but most of them are just moaners, who get on the player's backs too quickly. We need to fix that if we want to "be the best".

Spot on DRB. Balo was pretty poor in fairness, but the slanging he got was out of order, unnecessary and unhelpful. He had a Blue shirt on ffs! 100% behind him for the duration he is on the pitch.

Im not sure its a bias though, pretty much every City fan I spoke to was desperate for Balotelli to be the superstar we have all dreamed of watching. In many ways he hasn't delivered and showed a poor attitude at times to boot. Though I would never condone vile abuse of one of our own.
