Are "superstar" players afraid to transfer to Premier League from Europe?

Yes, as like too many boxing champs they want to prolong the easy life, and no because, after Alfie, the next best player is already here, and doing it.
But essentially, I think plenty have chosen this route, for one reason or another.

Why would they be afraid? Messi mugged of every premier league club whoever qualified for the CL at some stage in his career. The PL is not the gold standard for football. The greatest club side ever is probably Pep's Barcelona with the Xavi, Iniesta, Messi axis. Messi for one doesnt have anything to prove in the Premier League. He is better than any player to have ever played in English football.

If Messi played in the PL he would absolutely have clocked up the goals he scored in La Liga. We also need to note no domestic league English footballer has ever lit up a World Cup. Like Zidane in 98, Ronaldo in 2002, the Spain midfield of 2010. Why didnt all those English league players stop Maradona making them look like Muppets in 86?

Whenever someone says 'hasnt proven it in the Premier League' I cringe.
Did you also cringe when you realised you can't spell 'gooner'?
