Are The Smiths a rag band or a blue band?

from books ive read and interviews ive seen, he grew up liking the rags just because it was either them or us, and i dont think he was (or is) into football in a big way.. Then, when he left the smiths and moved to london he took an interest in West Ham because his bodyguard was a keen west ham fan and was into the whole west ham boys club side of things. after that, god only knows but ive seen pictures of him in a Millwall shirt with 'mobster' on the back. Clearly not a fan of football... that would be like a blue decided to be a rag - it just doesnt happen

stick to football mate.

90s Oasis

seriously, not just a Manchester-biased comment - they brought guitar music in this country back from the dead like Lazarus.

no 90's STONE ROSES mate

Mike Joyce, big blue. Used to see him in the Parkside with his dad before the game. Top bloke
Johnny Marr, spotted him at the game a couple of times.
Morrissey (Various) & Rourke dunno.

The Smiths, the best band ever.

Stone Roses released their first album in 89. The Second Coming was released in the 90s but that was gash. John Squire was the talent. Ian Brown is a plastic Manc from Warrington. He's a rag and his solo stuff is terrible

Morrissey was definitely a Utd fan and one of his greatest idols was George Best. But then he became disillusioned by football and United as he got older

Johnny Marr and Mike Joyce are big city fans though
