Whether they are or not, I much preferred going toe to toe with them than Liverpool.

living and working in the area, the banter back and forth is lost with them being so poor.

on the other hand it is fantastic to see them rotting away like they are

i always defined rivals as who you are going toe to toe with...if 1 finishes in the top 2 nearly every season & the other is lucky to make 6th then i dont see how they can call themselves rivals.....Dippers struggle with this outlook on it....they base a rivalry on Istreeeeeeee

Whilst Hillsborough was a truly awful day with the loss of 96 lives, they’ve used it to cover up the Heysel disaster that they caused. Liverpool fans fought and thieved their way around Europe in the 80’s which resulted in a ban for all of us. It made British fans hated and treated like vermin by the authorities.

I see Liverpool as delusional victims (Blackburn, Leicester and ourselves all won the Premier League before them) whilst United are arrogant bullies. I know some great Reds but there really are some complete cunts in their support. They’re up there with Leeds.

Deep down, I hate United much more although Liverpool are providing competition.

Yeah, Liverpool have plenty of nobhead fans but in general for me, the ones I've known for years have been alright and we've shared that mutual dislike of them lot.

Liverpool winning doesn't bother me half as much as when utd do. Even now utd are shit, it still boils my piss when they win and losing the Derby cuts far deeper than losing to Liverpool.

I actually quite enjoy playing Liverpool. It's been a really good match in recent years, whereas I fuckin hate the Derby until we win it.

For me, utd are and will always be our main rival, no doubt about it.
