Are we clearly suffering from a lack of striker this season? Have midtable sides figured us out?

and how do you do that by having a clinical striker like aguero who convert half chances and score 20-30 goals a seasonLack of striker is not an issue but we need to start scoring more goals and catch up the goal difference a bit.

On the basis that we did quite well last season without one (bar the occasional appearance by Kun) and that we don’t exactly seem to be struggling so far this season, we don’t seem to need a striker.
Having something a bit different however may be helpful.

id love it if we get haaland january 1st and score a hundred goals by easter
and how do you do that by having a clinical striker like aguero who convert half chances and score 20-30 goals a season
Or by just scoring more goals...
We scored the most last season without a striker.

but there is no proof we can score at very high levels to make it easy for us with just using a false 9. take last season for example, we only scored 82 goals. but in our best season when we comfortable win the league we score more than 100 usually. In addition to that we are scoring less this season compared to the last with many teams learning form last season and working out our false 9 system and making it harder for us. so its not simple as you say oh just score more goals.Or by just scoring more goals...

This is simply wrong. Last year we'd scored 21 goals after 14 games. This year 29.

two main rivals overscoring (Pool, Chelsea) their xG by having players who finish their chances better than average.
we underscore ours as quite clearly we fluff chances that should be finished by attackers with cool, killer instinct finishing, the type of players that regularly could get shots on target with their eyes closed. thats not something you can say about Mahrez, Sterling, Jesus
we needed "one of a career" season from Gundo last season to be our top scorer in PL, and things look like it could be now Bernardo who needs to carry the burden of overscoring his personal goal avg by a lot to keep us moving.
bit of a worry that Mahrez, Sterling goals are not really replaced by other players yet. these two will play much less in PL, but will Grealish, Jesus just keep scoring instead of them? hardly...
getting someone with killer instinct upfront should be the main priority as I think it would lift the whole attacking unit to have someone they can trust and look up to who can and used to finish chances day in day out. for creative players like Foden, KDB, Grealish not to have someone to create chances for is certainly something where we miss out big time on potential. or with having mediocre finishers only.
