Are we getting more popular abroad?

start getting but still a long road ! add to that the rubbish stories i hear every time about city (i don't live in UK)

I really hope the club dirctors are taking that into account and try to push as much as possible to make city a global brand ! (get as much as possible of money then 2 fingers to the ffp) :)

In Africa and the West Indies we are the main topic to new "fans".

When I visit I see more and more and cos I have the shirt on seems to be an ice breaker.

Forget the Emirates we are the biggest club in club in Abu :)

Sorry for my weak English
City fan From Pakistan (A country hit by terrorism)
This is my first post on this forum.

In our country people love cricket .There aren't many football lovers. But i love football more than any other sports.

Started watching football in 2007 and from the start I liked tevez very much, when he came to city i followed him & started watching city games. Now I always try to watch every game & since 08 I have watched more than 90% of city games.

Everyday i read city related news on internet & watch videos of our players & matches.

I was very happy when we won the FA Cup. But cant forget that moment when we won the league & specially the last 10 minutes of the QPR game. I was in my room and was watching alone on tv. Earlier in that match it was very depressing but can not forget & express how I felt inside my body when Agueerrrooooooo Scored & when Kompany lifted Trophy, I was very emotional at that time. I watched dressing room & other celebration videos on youtube & felt very Happy.

I feel very depressed when City lose & feel very happy when we win.
I hope we will the title this year & many more.
Come on city!!!!

now i don't know every city fan in Doncaster but I do know there is 40 of us in the Donny branch, but having my dinner today and a lad about 10 went past my house with a city shirt on, and I thought I was the only blue in Intake LOL

There was a fans map on the city web page but I cant find it now, there was about 22k registered blues on it and if I can remember there was quite a few blues in USA AND AUSTRALIA plus loads more in other countries

I'm in singapore at the moment on holiday in a bar watching Liverpool v Chelsea and it's full of Liverpool fans (all locals) and it's an arsenal bar with arsenal stuff all over the walls but no arsenal fans and no chelsea fans.
Been out and about but all I've seen is rag shirts and Liverpool shirts. One city shirt one arsenal shirt and one Chelsea shirt.

I've travelled a lot, all over the world, and the reply 'Manchester' to the question "where are you from?" was always, nearly without exception, followed quickly by "wow Manchester United wow".

It's changing. People are tending to ask which team in Manchester i support instead, which is interesting.

7 years ago City were barely even heard of globally, it's changed so so much in the last few years.

Considering how little success we've had until recently, it's always surprised me how popular we remained outside England. I travel quite a bit for work, and have had several surprising meetings with lifelong City fans abroad. Stood at a road crossing with a KotK under my arm in Oslo, and a Norewgian man coming the other way opens his coat to reveal his City scarf; watching a City game in the middle of the night with a City-fan student in Pune in India; finding out an Italian-Swiss I work with has followed City as his second team since he was a child (behind Juve).

But I'm sure our support is growing, and I always try to publicise City and spread the joy, such as recruiting my American ex-boss who's a Detroit Tigers fan and saw similarities with his own faithful following of a "sleeping giant"!

Anyone have an idea how big we are in the Balkan countries? Might sound a tad cynical (may be just to make them more settled and all) but I don't think it's a coincidence how we've signed many Balkan players over the past few years.
