Are we going to win the league?

The league was won in August. Whoever signed Van Persie would have won the league so i think Man Utd have it in the bag.

I'd love to disagree with you, but I just can't. You wouldn't believe the number of City fans who were arguing against signing Van Persie on here though....

I was and would still be against it.

I said it was a desperate gamble by fergie because he thought if he didn't win the trophy this year he might never get the chance again. The only time that £65,000,000 gamble will have been deemed to pay off or not is when the title has been decided at the end of the season or before.

All our previously brilliant strikers are having trouble scoring, thats more to do with the way we play than the actual strikers.

If you notice most of the chances we have are against a packed defence, 11 men behind the ball.
With united, they break quickly leaving their strikers in the main in 1v 1, 2 v 2 or 3 v 3.

The earlier stages of last season we were devastating going forward fast and Incisive, but we've changed as much as teams have against us have. Now we're slow and deliberate taking 20 passes instead 4, 5 or 6to get in the edge of or in our opponents box.

sadly very doubtful, unless RVP gets injured, and they could struggle should they get past Real Madrid and progress through Champs League. They have played their big away games and had luck and dodgy decisions given. However, still fancy ourselves for the FA cup?

Are you sure?Stonewall penalties turned down at Tottenham and City as well as a goal disallowed incorrectly. We also had stonewall penalties turned down in each of our last 3 league games. There's loads left in the league, way too early for it to be over, though we are certainly decent faves now.

We still have a chance if we can keep in touch with United and win at Old Trafford. No one expected them to bottle it last year and they have many players (Jones, Smalling, De Gea, Valencia, Hernandez etc) who have never been in a winning team on a title run-in. We have to win 11 out of 14 and draw the rest to have any chance...but we are capable of it. We have to go for the FA Cup all guns blazing. Second place and a Cup win would still be success in my book. Remember we have only just started the journey. Our under 14 side has just walked the league at their level. The pressure is all on the rags and will be for years to come.

I really like you!

We lost it in the crazy 90 seconds at the end of the derby by gifting them a win. The team (& Mancini) have under-achieved so far this season but we over-achieved in the previous two IMO so whilst it is extremely disappointing it is not a disaster. If van Persie receives a season ending injury soon tben you can see the Rags collapsing as they really are being carried by him in the same way Tevez carried us a few seasons ago so there is still an outside chance of us winning it.

Some pruning of the likes of Nasri & Kolarov in the summer with more able replacements coming in should do the trick for next season.

Before yesterday's result maybe

After yesterday's result no

Might be a bit knee jerk but I just can't see where we will pick 7 or 8 points more than them to win it. I know we did it last season but we played so much better last season, we were top for 28 games-for these reasons we deserved it.

Not so this season.

I'm a glass half-full bloke, so I say yes we will.
With regards the above, I have always thought that Sinclair could be our 'ace in the pack'. He is what we are missing and needs to be given longer match time.
Bob doesn't play him because his is rubbish, its just because he doesn't like playing with wingers.
Play him and see what happens. He is just as good, if not better than Valencia.

Smalling,Valencia and Hernandez have all won as many Premier league medals as anyone in the city team.

Absolute rubbish. We were by far the best team last season and should have won the league with games to spare. If any team over achieved it was the rags with lots of lucky wins. For a City fan to say we over achieved beggars belief.
