Are we going to win the league?

We still have a chance if we can keep in touch with United and win at Old Trafford. No one expected them to bottle it last year and they have many players (Jones, Smalling, De Gea, Valencia, Hernandez etc) who have never been in a winning team on a title run-in. We have to win 11 out of 14 and draw the rest to have any chance...but we are capable of it. We have to go for the FA Cup all guns blazing. Second place and a Cup win would still be success in my book. Remember we have only just started the journey. Our under 14 side has just walked the league at their level. The pressure is all on the rags and will be for years to come.

Smalling,Valencia and Hernandez have all won as many Premier league medals as anyone in the city team.
Gael Clichy?

we did not do enough to buy rvp, that is why we will find it hard to win the league, does anybody know why we did not buy the best striker in the league and let united buy hin instead.but i have faith in our manager and owners, its not bad when your upset because because were only runners up.

If we don't win the league the season has been one of failure, I'm afraid.

I've a gut feel we'll finish 2nd and win the cup. We aren't scoring enough but we aren't conceding.

We fucked around too long with RVP, just as we had with Hazard. Let us be more decisive with our next transfers, do the take it or leave it.

The league was won in August. Whoever signed Van Persie would have won the league so i think Man Utd have it in the bag.

Does the same go for next season then? They will still have van persie so will they automatically win it again? Or is it possible that there are other good players in the game and van persie isn't the be all and end all?
unless we improve and not stagnant it could well be.

Not with Mancini in charge.

We have by far and away the best squad in the league so we're not going to implode, whoever the manager might be, so I expect us to push United all the way. But with United being as lucky as they have been this year, it looks like we''ll have to be close to our best to win the league unless they completely capitulate. And unfortunately, we have a manager who doesn't know anything close to what it takes to get the best from our team.

It seems to me he's still got beef with a lot of people at the club as well. The people above him tell him we don't need any more signings - this is not football manager, but the luckiest manager in the world moans some more and gets tens of millions to spend in the transfer window, and we go three steps backwards. He says Balotelli will be world class, turns out the guy was one of the worst players, in talent and in attitude, to wear the shirt - 'who would have saw that coming?'. He says Tevez won't play again, the people above him say don't be silly - we win the league. As a result, Mancini keeps bringing him off for defensive players when we need goals, at the expense of the success of the club, to prove a point. The only point he's proving though is that he's an incompetent manager governed by emotion rather than what's best for City.

I think to win the league, we need to sack the manager, stop playing Yaya out of position when he comes back, and play Kolarov when we're going to spend 60% of the play on the ball, and have no need for Clichy's superior defensive abilities. Kolarov's one of the best crossers of the ball in the world, and last night, we must have wasted about 20 opportunities to trouble QPR by playing Clichy who, make no mistake, has been a great signing for us, but he is nowhere near as good as Kolarov as an attacking threat.

When you've got Yaya as an attacking midfielder, he'll be one of the targets in the box for Kolarov to hit. Look how many goals United score from crosses.
anyone who thinks we should sack the manager should look in the trophy cabinet.

Come on guys don't act like this is a 1-man sport now. Also he scored only 31% of their goals and Rooney has to play in a different position because of him. What if he would be injured like he was before and we wouldn't be first? We have our own problems. We spent a lot of money on players which do not perform. Ok, our strikers can't score now but our famous midfield?

Yaya - 4
Garcia - 2
Rodwell - 0
Barry - 1
Milner - 3
Nasri - 1
Silva - 3
Sinclair - 0

Players like David or Nasri should be able to score 8, 10 goals every season but they do not. This is the biggest difference between our team with or without Yaya - other guys like Barry our toothless.

Also Mancini has to learn. We made same mistakes in EPL and CL last season and now. It's clear a lot of teams will play like QPR but don't have any Plan B. Fucking width, guys.

In a word no. It is possible especially after last season but it is highly unlikely, i'm sure they will drop points but so will we, on Sunday we could be 10 points behind facing a very stern test against Liverpool and i wouldn't be suprised if we failed to win that game as well.

They are far more clinical than we are, have more width and pace, are more direct and don't play as much tippy tappy hence even with a suspect defence they are going to be back to 7 points ahead come 9.50 p.m. We didn't buy well and i think to a certain extent have rested on our laurels somewhat. It is incredibly frustrating watching City away from home as the scenario is nearly always the same and we don't have a plan B to put it right and have been fortunate that individual pieces of magic have helped us out on a few occasions this season.

I hope we go hell for leather in trying to win the Cup, it won't be easy as the Leeds tie could be tricky and there are still the likes of the filth, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal etc left in.
