Are we looking to sign a striker?

That will always be the case unless we actually play him. Some have been touting Bellerin for our RB position, forgetting had he been here 2 years ago, he'd still be considered a highly talented youngster who can't shoulder being #1. Now most think he might be the #1 RB in the league period.

Aguero being ahead of Nacho, limits him enough. Whwn Aguero is injured or just periodically, to keep Aguero fresh, we should start him consistently. Dude is the same age as Coman and Kimich at Munich. Both of whom have taken their opportunities with injuries to starters.

If he is good enough, let him back up Aguero, if not then get rid and find someone who is. This penchant to keep relegating him to 3rd Striker, serves no one.
In no way do I wish to hold back the advancement of Nacho and I sincerely hope he comes on in leaps and bounds next season. However let's look at the overall position of next season if Kun gets injured for any length of time and is absent through International duty and Nacho is called up to represent his country in ACON. Where does that leave a club that again may be involved in four competitions?
We need another goalscorer.

I would rather Sergio starts every game next season with nacho coming on 20/30 mins from the end.
Everyone would, but we know very few players play every game. And Aguero is not likely to play 60 games. BTW 40-45 is the expectation.

There is some legitimacy to this argument. But I believe that's where bringing in players like Dembele (a winger) comes in. Bring in Dembele, And you have 4 guys who can start at striker. The 2 strikers, Sterling and Dembele (or someone of that ilk).

But having 3 designated strikers seem a waste to me. Even with all the injuries this season, I still feels like Nacho didn't get enough games to fully develop. Talk less next year when he should be a bonafied fullltime Striker.

What happened to our interest in the Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette?

Might have signed a contract to 2019 but still scoring the goals and could play central or wide. Very fast.

I would think City know about him. Will they go for him is the question?

We do need another striker ...... Nacho will be off to the ACON in January ....Bony will be sold, that leaves Aguero
Hopefully for those 4 games or so Aguero would be fit, however if not then as Dax says we play one of the wide forwards, it's not as if Pep hasn't played without a recognised central striker before and it doesn't warrant buying a specialised striker who would take up a squad place and hardly play for the rest of the season. Look a Chelsea with Falcao and Remy , they hardly play and when they do they aren't very good.

On a team that starts 1 striker, being the #3 Striker is not adequate. You either have gim as your 2 or loan him out if you are not sure.the #3 striker position are normally for old ex stars taking up a cheque in an emergency role. Not a developing talent.

No, you just bring him through by playing him in some games & not others & teach him to play different roles.

And he isn't a striker.

Bony out. Aguero, Iheanacho and Sterling as our third choice might the the way we'll go.

I suspect we could buy a wide forward, like David Villa was at Barcelona or how Sanchez is at Arsenal. A wide player who will contribute a lot of goals.

Certainly the days of four top strikers are behind us under Pep.
