I've been in Cardiff and Glasgow at 4am frequently enough to know that I am very much English.

I do feel more Mancunian than anything though if I'm honest. I'm not really patriotic or unpatriotic, I'm just not arsed.

I'm proud to be English and wouldn't have it any other way. I don't think that's arrogant.

How can you be proud of something that was a fluke somewhere between geography and genetics?
