I'm more of a lurker than a poster and I hardly ever post after a game, but some of the overreaction on here tonight is laughable.
As Rafa would say, the facts are that tonight we were beat by the better team - and guess what - it happens!!
In my opinion, all 14 of them tonight had shockers. Even Shay, who I think got enough of a hand to the first goal that he should have put it round the post.
Normally, a team of undoubted quality like ours can normally get away with carrying two passengers per game at most. When playing a team as up for it as Everton were, the team as a collective having a mare was only going to end with one result. In many ways , it was similar to the Munich Anniversary Derby where our team played well above themselves, whereas the scum never got going and as a result were completely outplayed.
As de-Niro said in his thread, Everton fans must accept that they will not play better this season, whereas we most certainly will. Bobby will have learnt much more about the premiership in this defeat than he will have in the 3 wins preceding it.
There is still a blue moon rising and we have the perfect opportunity to respond in just 72 hours.
Not to mention the point we will have to prove when the blue dippers come to The Academy of Footballing Excellence!
