So I'm sorry but this makes your comment invalid and disrespectful.
I suspect that doesn't take into account people who are culturally forced to say they're religious when in actual fact they're not. (i.e Fear of alienation from you strongly religious family/community, fear of political punishment)
As for me, I believe in physical evidence and reasoned logic.
People who say "I take the good bits out of the bible and don't believe in the bad, but I'm still a Christian" are only kidding themselves. If you know you have the conscious ability to be able to pick morally good premises (don't kill, don't steal etc.) apart from morally negative premises (Kill homosexuals, Men are better than women etc.) then you're admitting you're not a Christian (or any other of the major religions for that matter).
I could say "My doctrine is Star Wars, although I don't believe in what Darth Vader did, but I use Luke Sykwalker's way of life as a guide to my own". That's the same as using the Bible. You don't need it because you already understand that killing and stealing etc. is bad. Why attribute your intelligent sense of morality to dogma? It's ludicrous to me!
Anyway, the whole thing is plagiarised from pre-Jesus pagan personification of celestial movement. Jesus is just the latest in a long list of God's based on the Sun.

Not sure why you're quoting China as having a high level of believers. There is probably around 75% of people are either atheist or couldn't care less about religion.
Given that we make up around 20% of the World's population I would suggest that figure of 96% is highly unlikely.
