Ok Arsenal fans might not have had it as bad as some, but what they're going through is ridiculous right now. I wouldn't begrudge a fan boycott, Wenger needs replacing. Even a worse manager like Rodgers would give them a spark briefly, plus they'd actually be good at using their attacking players for a change. Their defence can't get much more inconsistent anyway!

A few years ago at Maine Rd we were battered 4-0 before half time by an Arsenal side in their pomp. All city fans applauded them and sung Henry's name in appreciation that night. Could you see yourselves returning the favour tomorrow night?

I was unlucky/lucky to be there for that game,it was yet another low point in that period of our existance.I never in my widest dreams thought i'd see the complete about turn we are now witnessing,its mind blowing stuff.

As for your point about the attitude of both sets of fans,they would never be capable of such a gesture,arrogance and bitterness will ensure that.

That's probably fair comment,we no longer see ourselves as iccle City and our opponents most certainly don't.

I liken it to the school bully getting his comeuppance 20 years later,from the kid he used to steal the dinner money from.

Are we what, rivals? I guess not in the sense of competing at a similar level currently perhaps, but there's an enmity between the clubs which probably wasn't there 10-15 years ago.

Yep, many of the Arsenal fans I spoke to on Sunday were decent enough and a few even congratulated us after the game.

I've said it a fair few times on here but my own personal experience of Arsenal fans is generally positive. Someone said it on here the other day that if you ignore the online muppets - and every club has them - they have a lot of decent match-going fans. Sure, they'll be a bit miffed that we've moved ahead of them on the pitch but they have a far bigger problem with the way their own club is run. It also helps that we've not been a traditional rival of theirs in the recent past in the sense of a Spurs, United, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc, and they won't encounter too many City fans in London in their day-to-day lives, whereas there will be loads of Spurs, United, Liverpool, plus fans of other London clubs giving them grief. It's also one of the safer London grounds for visiting fans with plenty of great pubs where you can mingle with their fans and have few issues.

Actually yes you are, but it's hardly your fault, nor is it surprising. For all the stuff about City being 35 years in the wilderness, had anyone told the City fans that's what was coming in the mid seventies, they'd have gone berserk. Everyone tailors their expectations to where they are in the pecking order, it's completely natural and normal. There was plenty of screaming on here last season with City coming third, if tenth place was on offer - despite it being a pretty decent result compared to most of the 80s, 90s and 00s - there'd be complete outrage, because we've got used to being at or near the top.

This is where Arsenal fans are now, and yes, while Hartlepool fans will say you don't know you're born, that's not really the point.

I think Pep is a clever manager and I admire the way he gets his team to play.

And I wish we had KdB and Sane.

I'd be surprised if we were that high up the list of hated City rivals. There's a lot before us in the queue, I'd have thought?

I disagree with the this, two games at Wembley in fairly quick succession doesn't make us rivals, but then I tend to equate rivals more to the league standings, so maybe I view it with a different mindset.

I'd much rather they were though, than spuds, united or Liverpool.

I'd probably agree mostly about their online fans, as someone else mentioned, they seem to be some of the worst of the lot, as I have stated previously, they seem to have a massive sense of entitlement and come across as hugely bitter and twisted.

Can only speak for myself, of course, but you’re probably fourth on the list behind United, Liverpool and Spurs. Edged ahead of Everton in recent years!

To be honest, much of my dislike is aimed at Wenger and his digs at City rather than your fans, although there are certainly a fair few who seem to have a misplaced sanctimonious attitude towards us.

Apart from the front 10 rows or so at the Etihad for the famous Adebayor slide, I’d say you’re probably spot on! ;-)

The queue is not too long and fairly undistinguished, and you’re right...not even close to the front of it! However, as a working class fan base, I think City fans don’t identify with the Emirates fan base very well.

Lastly, I found the Wembley fire drill a little sad. We saw it from United in the FA Cup semi-final a few years and also at The Swamp during the 6-1 drubbing. For a team whose supporters have a 10 minute commute from Wembley, I thought it was poor. By the time City raised the trophy, it was to a literally half empty stadium, or more, as the Wembley Club (mezzanine) seats were nearly all Arsenal fans, too. Didn’t take the shine off it for City fans, though.
