Arsenal (A) | Community Shield | Post-match Thread

Course the should celebrate but to celebrate like City did when they beat United and Inter is fook embarrassing tbh considering they are supposed to be a giant of the game
It wasn't that mental, and tbh when we won the champions league our celebrations weren't exactly mental.

I honestly don’t see what’s wrong with that? They hadn’t beat us in about 14 games prior to today. Of course it will be a psychological boost to arsenal. So much of elite sport is won inside the head and any boost no matter how small will be used by any half decent manager,
Thought the psychological boost was ours. We cut through them quite easily when we tried. They knew we were a couple of weeks behind them in fitness but couldn't take advantage. They scored a proper flukey goal in injury time. They've spent big in the summer with no outgoings and nothings changed. Still waving their arms about to get the fans worked up. They are the complete opposite of mentality monsters.

Thank fuck we’ve landed gvardiol because I have no idea how we managed a treble giving games to akanji at lb. Highly competent player but exposed at least once a game by a decent winger and he was massacred at lb today.

Kudos to them for stealing that. Aside from a 15 min spell in first half we were far better despite them trying at a much higher intensity than us.

Delighted for Cole Palmer getting that goal. Really needed that.

Don’t mock them for celebrating it’s raggish and most of us would have been delighted to have won today.

On the whole they showed everything they have today and it’s very good, better than last year. But it won’t be enough.

Why, what makes you think we will suddenly play better on Friday? Burnley back in training for a month a lot fitter. Lack of creativity, Haaland starved of service. Blinkered.

Cardiff City away 2013/14... Never take promoted teams for granted.

Vinny will have Burnley chomping at the bit for this one.
