Domestically, the goals have definitely dried upWe literally scored three the other night.

Newcastle and Spurs are a bigger threat for me, Spurs could incredibly be a danger, even more so with only 1 game a week.My take on it. If that's the nearest we have to a challenger this season then the league is ours again in May.
This has been Pep 's template for big games,it is the same way we played against Real ,Leipzig and Bayern away matches or even Arsenal away last season .The problem now is midfield is contributing nothing in terms of goals and assists .City had the lowest number of shots under Pep in premier league yesterday, sums up pretty well how poor we were attacking Arsenal.
Oh we have the worlds best to get it right so we have a chance ;)I thought when we had the January last season and were far back in the league that it would be the transition season bedding in the likes of Haaland and Alverez plus moving back to a system of playing with a recognised forward. It ended up in a season to end all seasons.
However with the personnel we have lost due to being sold or out long term injuries maybe this one will be it. The likes of Doku and Nunes will have to get used to playing in our system. It took Mahrez and Grealish more than 12 months for the penny to drop. You look at our lineup though minus Gundo, Mahrez and De Bruyne they are still a lot better than what we have as competition in the premier league. Pep will tweak something an search for a balance that works after the international break. I imagine he is well pissed off having to wait till next week to get everyone back into training.
I get it in the cl 2 leg play off,but we dont have to play that way in the premier league. This has been Pep 's template for big games,it is the same way we played against Real ,Leipzig and Bayern away matches or even Arsenal away last season .The problem now is midfield is contributing nothing in terms of goals and assists .
Like he said, by the time it got to the Chelsea game it was too late. Not sure why you think he would lie..Its a fact. Sat and watched the game with someone who would know last night.
I was told at the chelsea game when we got the prem trophy, by the same bloke, that an offer was on the table but his heart was set on barca.
Right, but it's clearly because Rodri hasn't played the last three games. In fact, he's missed the last three-and-a-half games if you count the second half against Forest. The one game Rodri played in, against Leipzig, everything went back to normal. Rodri's back in from next week so it shouldn't be a concern. If we can get Phillips shifted in January and bring in someone who's better equipped at filling in then it shouldn't get like it currently is again.Domestically, the goals have definitely dried up
Our issue is we need the next kev as I fear he is now at the end of a totally reliable body in the same way, sadly, vinnie had to stop. Yesterday lacked any real spark. Bizarrely the red card might have helped!Difficult to see where the goals are going to come from at present. Haaland looks a million miles away from bagging, nobody searches for him, how fucking difficult can it be?
The midfield aren't chipping in with nowhere near enough goals, 1 in 3 from Alvarez isn't enough, Doku might get the odd goal if he starts, Foden the same. But that's where it ends and we have to sign a creative attacking midfielder next summer to try and thread the ball through for Erling

Newcastle who are currently 7 points off it, and struggling to beat other top teams in the league, seems like a fucking wild shout as well.Spurs? Seriously!?
Absolutely no chance.

I think Phillips is a busted flush.Playing Phillips defensive midfield pushing Bernardo forward into his normal position and leaving Kovacic where he belongs at Chelsea would of been a better set up yesterday.
Majority of us think he was lucky to stay on the pitch. If OliVAR had reffed the game correctly instead of for "The product" he'd have walked.I watched MOTD and agree that Kovacic was lucky not to be sent off.
You all know that if (s)he plays for City they get my full support but I was very disappointed in Kovacic. I expect better from City players. Does that make me a hypocrite? Or am I being hypercritical?
