It was minimal contact, at the other end Wilshire would be raging if that was given as a foul.And two yellows should have been to him for persistent diving and cheating.With Deli Ali and him Team GB should get Gold and Silver at the Tokyo Olympics.

Good to see Kompany noting the win against Liverpool in the 2016 league cup final followed by a 3-0 defeat to them in the league, shows we are aware of what can happen.

I vividly remember that game. A lot of people thought that the 'pool would be deflated after losing in the penalty shootout. Far from it. They were hell bent on revenge and they really stuck it to us.
Given Wiltshire's rants about them being unfairly treated by the officials I think we should expect some 'angry' players desperate for revenge. Get an early goal and we'll do it; concede an early goal and it will be a real struggle.

I was pretty disgusted with his attempt to get Fernandinho sent off for a second foul. The slo-mo showed that Fernandinho pulled out of any challenge, stopped, and Wilshire flung himself into the air. Despicable little minion.

The pitch will be playable, but it's supporter and Emirates stadium staff travel safety before and after the game that is the issue

The aim is now to wrap up the Premiership as soon as possible, to clear the decks for CL. So first up Arsenal, which is certainly not a gimme. Had they scored with their early chance it could have very different. Yes we are the better team but this is no guarantee of victory or even a draw, as shown at Wigan, and the stats show that teams winning the League Cup often struggle in the League afterwards.

I trust Pep to choose the best team for the job in all the circumstances, but is there anything else that can be done?

In another thread it was stated that Pep does not give a pre-match team talk and if that’s true, I wonder why not. Certainly his half time talk seemed to make a difference on Sunday. Does anybody know for sure what happens pre-match?

I was thinking would it be good for us to have an extra fews days off before Chelsea but I think arsenal are there for the taking at the moment so for me I hope it goes ahead.
