Arsenal Away - It's too Expensive!

It's simple, if you don't go to the game then they won't charge these prices in the future.

Not so simple... Let's say every "hardcore" blue boycotted this Arsenal game now. none of us bought tickets. campaigns all over the net, everywhere....

I can assure you our end will still be full. Maybe not so with the same crowd who will be at Wigan away but with the "I-crowd" lot who take pleasure in playing on their IMacs, Taking pics on their Iphones, and playing Farmville on their ITabs.

This is why the prices will remain at this level and probably continue to rise, as some Joe out there wants to "be part of it" and will happily get rinsed by these greedy bastards who stole the beautiful game.

It really wouldn't, not 3,000 anyway, there may be 500-800 of them tops.

However City, the club, could take the stand for us, they could take all the tickets, tell us they haven't, take the financial hit, and then announce why the away end will be completely empty an hour before the game, with "we're taking a stand against these ridiculous prices".

They won't, because they're in on the same game.

Well Arsenal simply give us the 800 seats, City send those 2,200 unsold back to Arsenal. The stewards segregate the apparent City fans and sell the other 2,200 seats to the Arsenal fans who can't get seats.

Probably sell those seats higher than £62 as wel lol....

A significant day needs organising between the FSF and other Organisations where all fans in this league boycott together...so the home/away ends will be empty, only the clueless daytripper types will be sat on their own.

Then they will pay attention. even if you have paid for a ticket. a mass boycott needs organising. if you are a true football fan you will boycott.

I know i would. for the longterm future of the fan

Takes the fun out of anything if you feel you've been rippped off and a 20% price rise in 12 months shows how far from reality premiership clubs are.

But I thought Arsenal were the altruistic example of how football should be?

Blues, the reason I started this thread is that I'm one of two people who run a supporters club and it's my job to estimate ticket prices and mail details to our members for away games. We have to do this around 7 weeks before a game so we can apply and gather deposits based on the MCSC timeframes for applications and hence I go looking at all the other Cat A sides websites who play at the same venue to try and find out what the home club is charging visiting teams for a similar Cat A fixtures.
I was gobsmacked when I found out what Arsenal intend to charge us!!

For the record I'm the chairman of the Poynton branch of the MCSC and although my personal view on this is that we should take action now and boycott this game I'm obliged to send ticket details to our members and will do so tomorrow but will add my own view that all our members should stand up as one and stick 2 fingers up to Arsenal and their 62 fucking quid!! It's a bloody disgrace and if we don't act as one I can see the end nearing for visiting suporters to the capital and elsewhere!
Are you aware Norwich tickets will be £50 on the 29th Dec?
How the fuck can they warrant that?

I'll mail Kevin Parker tomorrow and urge all supporters clubs to boycott this but we should all, to a man, fuck this off and and make a stand!!

I urge all Blues to boycott this game whether you can afford it or not!!!
Lets take the lead on this and make a statement!
