Arsenal (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Whilst agreeing that KDB is a bit ‘off it’ he still leads in assists in Europe. Pep has lost the plot and yet is FIVE points off top and in with a chance of ‘the treble’. What people need to reflect on is that their ‘off season’ is most players/managers best ever imagined season.…..
I’d rather be thankful for what we’ve got than lament what we might not have.
Agree in the main , I never said Pep has lost the plot , but even David Blunkett could see that our biggest players are miles off it.But as long as Pep gets his magic wand out at half times then all is good.

Looks to me like Arsenal are getting wound up with 19 games to play. Arteta being even more jumpy than usual in the last few games, the way they celebrated the win against the rags.

Then tonight there was an undercurrent of aggravation - Gabriel moaning at the ref, odegard running around like a madman for 15 mins gesticulating at the ref, zinchenko having a hissy at the end. Doesn’t feel controlled. If they’re feeling that way at this stage then we can now really get under their skin. That’s a lot of emotional energy to deal with for 4 months. Love it.
As the prize gets closer they’ll shit their kecks and their unstable manager will have a nervous breakdown

There were more empty seats in the Goons section than ours , if they sold all their tickets then their entitled fans must hold the hide and seek title for 2023. The irony of them chanting "is this a library" has got be the most self deprecating moments of the season , hardcore Goons fans , you have got to laugh.
Bunch of lightweights who take their ball home if they are not in the Champs league , have celebrated the top four like its a trophy and who hounded their best ever manager for years to be sacked ,f*cking surrender monkeys.
More ironic was them singing ‘shit ground no history’

Can’t be arsed adding up how many trophies our ground has seen compared to theirs but I know how it stacks up

It was interesting that we went long as often as we did. Arsenal worked hard to block the midfield off. Haaland isn't a typical 'big man' forward, but he used his size well and was a nuisance for Arsenal's CBs, even if he wasn't totally effective.

I think that did enough to stop Arsenal from pressing at their best, which limited their attacks quite a bit.

I do think a big difference between this and the Tottenham game a few years ago (where we had a similar approach) was that we didn't have the speed elsewhere to really capitalise on it.

Heard that, what a tit.

Calling out City fans, usual City bingo shite yet during the match I said to my mate that's the first time they've sung a song for about 8 years.

Fickle as fuck

"Arteta out" last season.

They are the worst (as in pathetic) set of fans from the big 4 London Clubs
The same fans who regularly booed their team, owners, Wenger and Arteta, season in, season out. Cunts

What you all think ake was brilliant Saka in his pocket when when we get up and running look out still a little bit not our selves it at half speed still done them

There was one chunk of about 50 empty seats in the whole stadium and that was in the arsenal end. Every other seat was taken. Modern football fans talk such shite these days.
I was there pal, looked pretty full to me, apart from some gaps in the away end, both tiers, and the area where the netting was in SS2

I hate night games for this reason. Every road into Manchester was rammed and this was at 6.15pm not later. Those motorway closures when a game is on are just stupid decisions.

We always drive to night games but get the train to early kick offs, regent Road was a nightmare tonight, but coming from our direction it's hard to avoid.

They’re a good team, strong and fit, but it feels like they’ve already shown their hand and more importantly, they know it.
I said last season that if Arsenal sort their temperament out they’ll be a threat. I think they’ve done a good job of controlling it this season however the signs were back in the last fifteen minutes which is encouraging for us. All this “it doesn’t matter” bollocks they’re spouting is a coping mechanism which most football fans have employed at some point.

Bernardo silva is our most important player without him starting every week again I don't see us catching Arsenal
Came on and played well. He needs to get back to his best along with some others I could mention. The Arse are a good side, they pressed well that first half. But they are a bit over confident atm. Can they be caught? Absolutely but they won’t lose many games by the look of it.

Disappointing first half, I thought we looked a little edgey and there were a fair number of stray passes. We had a fair bit of possession but it was all in our own half and we rarely ventured over the half way line. You can see why they are where they are in the league. They moved forward quickly, no faffing about passing back. A much improved second half, esp when Bernardo and Alvarez came on, gave us more energy in the middle and going forward. Bernardo and Grealish had good control of the ball. The ref was a pillock.
