Are teams freighted of us yes period
Rice would get nose bleeds if he passed the ball forwards. If Rice is worth £100m (and he might be cos he played well today) Rodri’s worth £300m.
Different levels.
Here here ^^^^^I'm disappointed but I'm not going to join in any criticism of the players or the manager. MY disappointment is that we didn't win but we never looked as though we were going to lose. Arsenal came to us as the highest scoring team in the PL and never looked like getting a goal. And this with us having to field a back five which had never played together and which was disrupted further when Ake had to go off - and yet kept a clean sheet. They were excellent, Gvardiol especially. Further forward we were nowhere near our best. KdB and Phil were off but we know very well that they did their best and gave their all. Erling made the runs, came deeper but often didn't receive the ball. And, not to beat about the bush, we were up against a side that defended deep and pulled everyone back. Their area was packed. I can't and don't criticise them for this because they got what they came for. So, a disappointment but nothing was won or lost and it serves to highlight just how brilliant we've been over the last few years.
If we'd gambled City were far more likely to win. I think also that's why City didn't gamble as they know Arsenal are a threat on the break so needed to keep Rodri back to shut that threat down.I think if you gambled today and started with Martinelli you would have got something - we had a new back four - reserve keeper - best player out in my opinion (Johnny Stones) basically it has really helped Liverpool. We have fought hard for years - still fighting but definitely with 8 - 9 key players moving on and injuries i'd take top three or four any day. Would have been so much better if you went for it mind you
It was a day to forget mostly but he was classI think most agree with this - we looked controlled - Gvaridol - best i have seen him, very composed today
Arsenal got 2 yellow cards. Not good enough that. Having 4 of our starting back 4 and keeper out for three quarters of the game had me fearing the worst but the defence was the only good part of our performance.
Can't win games if you don't score and we can't score if we don't shoot. Created nothing from open play. Foden and kdb were anonymous. Grealish I forgot came on until I saw him slip in our box, doku running down blind alleys was the best it got from an attacking perspective.
Ref was a disgrace, 20 fouls arsenal committed today and not a single booking, that's got to be a record surely? Might not be any glaring mistakes but handing out the appropriate yellows to the many that deserved them, changes the game.
Realistically that's probably the title gone now, 3 points behind the dippers and inferior goal difference, even if we are perfect from now which I doubt, ypu just can't see the dippers slipping up twice.
With only Villa at home left to play. We've still failed to beat any of the top 4 this season. Hard to say we deserve the title when thats the case, its only the dippers and arsenal not being that good enough themselves that's kept us in the running.
Yes, he did. If a few weeks ago we had said we’d start the Ars game with Ortega/Rico/Manu/Dias/Josko, I think people would have sh!t their pants and assume we’d let in 5. But they held their own.I thought Rico did well today - looked very confident
I think you’re underestimating him slightly but it’s no wonder he didn’t want to come to City - not a cat in hell’s chance he gets in the team if Rodri’s fit.Rice would get nose bleeds if he passed the ball forwards.
Constantly passing the ball sideways and backwards, Anytime he tries a ball forward he gives it away.
His all round game is pretty average, Not good enough to clean Rodri's boots.
Seems like the ideal time to call you a ragFfs I’m a city fan with 40,000 posts over 15 years on here…
