Arsenal (H) Post match thread

Good solid win, really brought home the importance of signing Dias and Ake, last year that was Stones and Otamendi and we drop points. I still think we haven’t quite found our rhythm going forward yet. One of the teams to create the fewest chances, but we also haven’t had a fully fit attack together either.

We’ll need a few more 1-0 wins like that.

Confidence boosted all round. Ake and Dias look good buys. Rodri too slow. Attacking 5, formation and selection still need attention.
And no cock ups!

It was simply not on mate, look at the way he grabbed her and got shrugged off. Most watching that knew It was bad and awkward, no need to make it look like anything else. Pep always defends his players so that's different, but I do agree it should not warrant any punishment other than a fine maybe.
Awkward, stupid, silly...whatever!

I’ve seen PLENTY of players put their mitts on officials, but there’s hands and there’s hands! This was the former. Like I said above.

Social media tired of screaming about VAR and leg breakers in the Dipper Derby?!

Let’s see if England superstar Jordan Henderson gets a Disrepute Charge for his comments on refs and VAR???

Bent? Really? And, he’s seen it before, so I look forward to his evidence of bent lines and bent refs...unless you can say that stuff now???

It shouldn't result in anything as it was absolutely nothing. There was no disrespect involved and as shown these sort of things happen without anyone even batting an eye all the time. If he pushed her over then that's a different matter, everyone wants to be offended by something these days and this is an example of that.

Good win, Dias is a brilliant signing, just what we needed, Arsenal are not shit anymore under Arteta, and they were set up well.

Absolutely!
Saw a ref put their arm around a player recently. It’s ONLY because it was Sian Massey that anyone gives a rat’s!

THIS IS WHAT EQUALITY LOOKS LIKE!

Unless he said something SEXUALLY ABUSIVE to her, then it is a pure double standard!

Players touch officials ALL THE TIME, and they shrug them off. IF THEY DON’T STOP, THEN THERE’S A ISSUE!

And, Pep dies Sergio no favors by saying shit like “He’s a nice guy!” He should have shut it down immediately with, “Are you serious? Why, because she is a female? How sexist are you?!”

This is when the Wenger approach fits all scenarios I didn't see the alleged incident I have no comment to make.

Managers are always briefed how to handle media and as a rule the vast majority of questions are as lame as they get most of which the answer to all are known prior to them being asked and don't need to be asked.

Some unfortunately forget and are frustrated with what happened on the pitch no matter the outcome and never went to the Gregg Popovich school of how to handle a journalist.

Next question.

Who knows maybe he didn't see it but I agree it was naive of Pep to go down that path and ask to give both him in reality and Kun a break.

These covid times test everyone's patience.

Unfortunately domestic violence , divorce rates and mental health issues are through the roof particularly in those jurisdictions with the harshest lockdowns.

And you think that would shut it down? Wow.

I am so happy that our first choice, and second choice... and third choice centre backs didn’t come. Dias looks as good as VVD and he’s 6 years younger!

Shes fucking ace in my opinion. She wasnt arsed one bit. Kun shouldnt have done it, in a perfect world. But we dont live in a perfect world. He stepped on the line but didnt cross it. There was no malice on kuns part at all.
Maybe, and even this is a bit of a stretch and not really needed, he should apologise publically and say he was shocked at the reaction blah blah blah.
We will get crucified for this for, ooh 1 day.
Fuck em he did nothing wrong
