Midfield worry’s me for this especially with no foden or Kova They will counter & they can past Rodri on his own. We also have no real creativity.

Odd jack, foden & Kova on the bench

Come on mate, so you would rather we go backwards and sidewards at zero tempo. Look at Spain, they managed with two wingers being positive.

My concern is the lack of legs for when our wingers may loose the ball.
I’d rather play with more control and less risk yes.
If the two wingers play as I know they are capable then I shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Would have felt better seeing Foden in but it seems whatever he had did a number on him.

Doku turn overs on that side go directly to saka which worry’s me a bit. 2 good teams hope whippy turns the clock back.

what's interesting is that kovacic down the pecking order, i guess cuz he always seem to playing risky tackles with arse, gundo is more coolheaded

Quite surprised at that starting 11.

Looks like a “we’ll score more than you” type team rather than the usual “control” type team Pep goes for.

The 2 wingers can be incredible but will also both lose the ball a few times opening us to counters.

Happy to see Walker in re Martinelli’s pace.

I’m going 3-2 to us.

I'm thinking our midfield is going to be by-passed. Probably lots of 'to me, to you' football from us with the way they will set up. les arse will use the counter attack well today.

I want to see us moving the ball quicker, use Eddie's long pass out to Erl to break them.

Hopefully I'm wrong but cannot see us winning. 1-1 maybe.

on paper i love love doku and savinho starting, although the lack of footspeed in the midfield is not ideal to cover the counters but i guess thats why walker is starting
