We got what I expected. Nothing. Can't keep a clean sheet.
Don't know if its just me, but I think you have some neck coming on here and posting the way you do. Happy to see other fans on here but there is something about your posting style/content that just doesn't sit right with me.
City have won the league twice in the last 4 years, they rightly start as favourites for the title every season. Their squad is worth hundreds of millions.
We haven't seriously challenged for the title since 2005.
Its a big scalp alright, city have these title favourites clashes every season for the last 5, this is our first for a decade. I like our team, but we have a long way to go before we can see city as just another 3 points. That was a huge game for us against on paper a better team. Look at their bench, Sterling Navas Bony. We had Gibbs Ox iwobi and Maitland. They have the most talented squad in the country and player for player are they that far behind Bayern, I'm not sure. They can still operate in a transfer market that we can't reach so it's not in any way disparaging to our team to say they are better than us.
Possible, and by no means were you hammered or anything (however you could have been as we really should have scored from those 2 other chances), however i think the thing id be most disappointed with if i was a city fan is the lack of passion/desire/work rate from almost all the city players. Again, I'm not sitting on my high horse, I've seen the same from arsenal many times however this season and most of last season we seem to have got rid of that bad attitude.
Not disputing those things as stand alone facts. My point was your almost purposely trying to make us sound like some plucky small team when comparing to city. For example 'look at their bench sterling navas bony'. Really??? That bench is hardly a show of strength. Also, our bench is poor due to the number of injuries we have. City had 3 first team players out kompany and nasri and i think one otherr? We had sanchez wilshere coquelin cazorla rosicky welbeck out.
Regarding squad worth, yes theirs is worth 100's of millions, but so is ours? remember worth isn't what you paid for a player, its what that player would sell for now which. Therefore our squad is also worth 100's of millions, so that is no excuse for whatever point you're trying to make.
Are they that far behind bayern? Yes they are, almost all over the pitch. That is no disgrace either, every team on the planet apart from barca are. The only team you could say are maybe not far behind is madrid. Certainly not city or arsenal or anyone else.
Transfer marker? Again i don't agree. As proved recently, we can more then easily splash the cash when needed. We offered £50m for suarez in the end. City's most expensive player is KDB, who did not cost that much more then our most expensive player. Im sure with the exception of a few players, we could afford pretty much any player we want, if we really wanted him.
I respect your view, but it's rather rose-tinted. yes you could have scored a couple more, but equally if deBruyne buries that shot just before you scored, then it's a completely different game and you are under major pressure. 63-37% possession and 20 shots to 8 does suggest one team dominated the game - but it wasn't you. Anyway, at the end of the day you won and well done and you are rightly title favourites. But we are not even halfway through and you still need to come to the Etihad, so it's still very open.

I have taken a warning for the idiot stoke fan,he is on every match thread teling us what we should be doing, does my nut inSpot on blue.
Last couple of pages I've counted a Stoke fan, a Bayern fan, a couple of Gooners (they do like a gloat) and no doubt the odd rag or two thrown in for good measure. Don't know what they get from spending so much time posting thinly veiled bile on rival forums.
If you think Arse were the better side please explain why their support were shitting it almost all the match - they knew something you don't and that is arse were not the better side.I don't post here to only wax lyrical when you are doing well, its a bloody football discussio forum, where opinions count...i want the club to be the stronger side of the top 4, end of. If any of that doesn't sit well with you then feel free to chew your bottom lip mate, because frankly speaking, who the hell are you i should give a shit?
City were crap the other night, arsenal were the better team, if that is an opinion not shared...then i respect your wrong opinion. Hope that sits right.
Happy Christmas.

We dominated the game - take a look at the stats
we missed two golden opportunities ( one in each half) to score and a penalty not given-it is true if you don' take the chances you don't win and win we should have.
it was plainly obvious who was the stronger side to all who watched so ffs give your head a wobble - the league is never won at Christmas whatever the shitehawks who call themselves 'experts' might have you believe.
COME ON CITY SILENCE THOSE DOUBTERS
and a merry christmas to all my readers!
(Keep this to yourself Kaz but it's Mark Hughes. Remember, mum's the word. Don't want it to get out)I have taken a warning for the idiot stoke fan,he is on every match thread teling us what we should be doing, does my nut in
That explains it,i never liked him before either lol(Keep this to yourself Kaz but it's Mark Hughes. Remember, mum's the word. Don't want it to get out)
Mate, i wouldn't presume to know the inner workings of a gooner, these are the same tossers that thought shawcross intentionally broke ramseys leg 6 years back. Doubt they have gotten over it even now, with the aid of instant replays.
They had better chances, they defended FAR better, in fact they were far more efficient in both defense and attack. If you have to resort to pointing out the nerves of their fans, and rely on stats when any superior stat can be explained away easily by the fact they scored with their first two shots...its a pointless exercise. Of course they sat back on two goals, of course any fan would be nervous if a wonder strike makes it a one goal difference with 10 minutes to go. Doesn't change the reality of the performance difference. The only top side that wouldn't sit back if they were 2 goals ahead against strong opposition is either barca, or possibly bayern.
As for the stats, let me ask you this...do you think it was a pretty even match before they scored? Basic footy mate, in fact this game could be a poster child for the "stats don't tell the whole story" argument.
Its not your fault mate, but i explained my reasoning more than enough times already, so i'm not going to repeat myself ad nauseum every time a fresh face takes issue with my, once again, UNBIAS comments.
Sorry you don't agree, and a happy christmas to you sir.
It's obvious Arsenal created the best chances of the game for anybody who watched it live or on television.
We gifted them two goals through poor defending when we didn't man mark and left too much space between the player with the ball and the nest pass.
They had three other clear cut chances in the second half before they fell further back and we got some better possession in the last 10 minutes of the game.
We deserved nothing from the game but it wasn't the complete massacre that some pundits made out.
It was a performance from a side not high on confidence ( we haven't been for much of the season or at least for most of the past 12 games ) lacking a cutting edge and mentally not where we must be if we are going to win the league this season.
Last season after 17 games we were 7 points better off than we are now and defensively while not where a side wanting to win the title needed to be a lot more secure than we are now.
We have accrued 14 points less from Rnds 6-17 for the same period in the past two seasons ( over a point a game ) which shows you how far we have fallen off the perch even by last seasons standards when we clearly only the second best side in the league.
We are massive underachievers in the league so far for a number of reasons including MP managing worse than last season and the players falling below what is expected of them both individually and more so as a team.
Leicester a playing as a team should we are not.
