I don’t think people are giving sterling enough credit for having the sense to drop to the deck!
Good luck to him if he goes, i wish him wellHave you seen the news about Arteta?
Arsenal board members seemingly in discussions with Arteta.

My two big City topics coming out of that game would be:
1) The stunning performance of KDB. Had Leno not made that save, we could have been talking about one of the finest hat-tricks ever!
2) The formation. Wasn't a 4-3-3. Seen it described as a 4-2-3-1. When I saw the line-up I wondered what was going on. Will we play this again?
Apart from the keeper all your players were shocking. The result went as i thought it would yesterday. I put our expected team on the pre match thread given our injuries and looked at it and thought the set up & personnel just plays right into your hands. Playing Ozil just meant we were a man short in midfield, & Torriera & Guendouzi were never going to cope with the quality of your midfield. The full backs aren't great cover for Bellerin & Tierney, who haven't found form anyway after their injuries.
Hopefully if Arteta does come in, he'll see what we can all see, that we lack athleticism in midfield & defense. We're too one paced, have too many of the same type of players, not enough variety. Hopefully the board will back him as well. I like the lad we have coming in from St Eteinne, he has the right type of attributes we lack, but he's just young, and we need much more than that.
That's a tad harsh. I wouldn't call myself slap arsed, or self entitled. Can't stand this slap arsed self entitled twat.
I was very impressed with his speed after giving the ball away to chase 2 players and commit the foul in a safer area ;-) he must have listened to nevilles drival about tatical fouls for that one.Excellent, professional, disciplined performance. Tactically superb from Pep to sit deeper play a flat midfield that helped the full-backs stop their most dangerous players. KDB brilliant first half. And contrary to opinion I thought Mendy had a good game-looks a lot fitter and slimmer.
Apart from the keeper all your players were shocking.
The young sideshow bob tries but that's about it.
I have never seen so many passes go out of play from any team and the rolling about injured after every tackle is a joke.
You have to get a manager in double quick now.
Your stand in looks clueless.
Another couple of defeats and you could be in the relegation battle.
You are assuming that Arteta will take it. It appears they are talking but Arteta might feel he can wait 18 months and be the City coach. Our stand in is litteraly getting no support though. They've not allowed him to get any help in, any coaches to help assist him, bar Mertesacker who's chipping in while also doing his Academy role. He's been thrown to the wolves & it's not fair on him. Apparently it was the team doctor that took the pre game & half time warm ups. That's how bad it's got. My only thinking is that they think they have a replacement imminent, & judging by the pictures from last night & the fact that we were never going to employ him before the game yesterday, it seems as if it's all falling into place that it's Arteta.
As for the team itself, none of the defence that played should be first choice next year, if they are that's criminal. Guendouzi at 20 year old should just be getting played in here & there, but has had to come in and be our leader in there. That's shocking as well. There's no doubt the new manager has a lot of work to do, but any manager worth his salt should fancy taking it on & improving what we have now.
