This thread is piss funny if anyone wants a read. A poll about who they'll sell next to us.

Who will we sell to Man City next?

We've established a nice feeder club relationship with the richest club in the world, and after receiving upwards of 70m from the sales of Adebayor, Toure, Nasri and Clichy, who will they buy off us next?

My money's on Vermaelen. With their lack of good defenders they'll be in the market for a CB next summer. I almost feel sorry for them playing Lescott as a CB. Vermaelen signed a 4 year deal when he arrived, so next summer he'll only have 1 year left. I'm no mathmetician, but this all adds up to City coming in and signing him next summer. A Vermaelen-Kompany partnership would be quite scary.

Who do you reckon they'll sign from us in the near future? Mind you we're running out of good players to sell to them.

Oh for **** sake, i don't need to be seeing this type of thread with all the **** that's going on already.
**** off.
I don't blame them for being upset really.

Re: Goonersweb

Fuck me, you can always, absolutely always spot a racist. Their posts invariably contain the words 'I'm not a racist', followed by a lengthy racist diatribe. This dick says 'I know I'm not a racist, and that's good enough for me'.......Jesus!

Too early to worry about anyone else! They have eight days and a pot of money so we will have a better idea at the start of September. A positive for us though, lets show some steel and get something on Sunday!
Yes but who would want to join? Mata said NO THANKS and went to chelsea because he wanted to win things.
And Mata went public with this statement, not very good

Genius! Great SOH from the OP but serious lack of it in the replies.... As Fanzone Danny would say... "They're not Happy!"

LOL

Anyway, I reckon Wilshire will be ours in a couple of seasons but I'm sure Arsene's got another couple coming through the ranks for us...

;-D

I don't either. I feel bad posting this because the shit that happened at Arsenal was no fault of the fans.

They are in a similar hopeless situation like Liverpool was before Henry took over.

Re: Will Arsenal compete?

I actually predict Arsenal will become stronger in the aftermath of this as Wenger may be forced into buying a few more hardened Premier League players ie Cahill to bolster his squad and they might develop the backbone they have been missing for years.

“Imagine the worst situation – we lose Fabregas and Nasri,” said Wenger. “You cannot convince people you are ambitious after that. Even if you lose Nasri, to find the same quality player, you have to spend again the same amount of money (to replace him). You cannot lose the player and not replace him. These players are not easy to find. Samir’s situation is clear to me – he stays. We are in a position where we can say no. We are not there to make money. We are there to keep our best players. I am confident Cesc will stay because I hope he will see there would be no greater achievement in his life than to lead this team to success.”

Obviously, Arsenal are no longer ambitious ;-)

Re: Will Arsenal compete?

Struggle to stay in the top 6. He may have a pot of money but who will sign. Plus if he does bring players in won't they have to adjust, or is it only City signings that have to do that? Someone said Van Persie is a top striker, he is also injury prone and hasn't been knocking then for fun. He may also think it's time he moved on.

Wenger is bonused on getting the Emirates stadium paid off so from a personal finance position he wants to sell his stars for big money and then buy young players as he's happy just qualify for the Champions league with the revenue it brings.
However, letting Nasri and Fabregas go in the same window looks like a sale too far. I've a feeling Arsenal are going to get turned over tonight and that's going to cost them a minimum of £35m

If Spurs and Liverpool get their acts together, Arsenal may be looking at finishing 6th this season
