How about actually being in a final, against, say, Birmingham?

That was the meaningless cup that no one cares about. This is a proper way to end the drought.

Don't enter it then next season, try telling the thousands of Sunderland,Swansea and Bradford fans who travelled down over the last couple of seasons and we certainly had a good time. Anyway that Birmingham loss went on to ruin your season , I watched that game and at the end the arse fans looked devastated , anyway I'm going for hull city to win the cup .

That final ruined birmingham forever, they lost every league game after that and got relegated. I have been gleefully watching their downfall since that day.
We havent won the cup yet, all I said was this is our best chance to end our drought , then someone mentioned the birmingham final, which we have already lost, so thats hardly a good chance since its already gone. Wigan proved last season and today than anything can happen in the cup, but we are favourites now, and it would be devestating if we blow up again.
Cant say I wasnt supporting wigan today,

Pressure will be immense on Wenger now. By rights they should have the FA cup stitched up. If they finish with only their 4th place trophy im not sure the Tarquins will accept Arsene being offered another contract extension.

Regardless of outcome Wenger will be offered and will sign at least a 3 year extension. Of course Wenger will face pressure but his job is safe.

By the way any fellow Gooner stupid enough to call the odds assuming the FA Cup is a slam dunk should button up.

As an old veteran of many campaigns, I have seen us lose too many semis and finals to take anything for granted which is why we love this game so much.

Not just Birmingham, but Swindon, Ipswich and West Ham have left their scars over the years. I mean, fucking Trevor Brooking with a header for heavens sake?!

Really wanted City to win yesterday, normally I'd pick Wigan due to being the underdog but worried Arseholes may win a trophy now.

They've slipped up before in the past, Birmingham rings a bell! So let's hope they carry on that trend

We've pretty much gifted them the FA Cup, so the least they can do is roll over at the emirates when we play them
