Good game for us today. Scored some nice goals and looked fit and ready for the start next week .
City did not look ready for a football match, there was zero urgency on their part but we took advantage and that is all we can do.

Different approaches. Arsenal desperately wanted to win, we approached the game with a degree of indifference. Maybe your approach has been borne out of the inferiority complex of Wenger and the players, fuelled by the spankings of last season.

I think we will be fine.

You think Pellegrini and the players were indifferent to a 3-0 loss?

Okay.

Okay.

To be fair, he never said that. You're making a straw man there.

Okay.

He said he thinks we "approached the game with a degree of indifference" Is English not your first language ?

Yes City looked well off the pace and the first 10minutes we were really poor

I thought it was one of those days when everything went right for Arsenal, and nothing went right for City. After you scored we got into the game, but the damage was done.

Our defence was a mess, and we do not look ready for our opening Premiership game. We look a mile off. Not surprising given that there are so many World Cup players missing. I don't really blame Pellegrini because we have to give them some rest. I thought we were very complacent in the opening minutes though. Was annoyed about that

Embarrassing turnout from City fans. Can't claim to be a big club with a support like that

No, English isn't my first language.
Is that a problem on this forum or for you, dear stony?

I don't see how being indifferent to a 3-0 defeat is so much worse than an indifferent approach leading to a 3-0 defeat.

But everyone's entitled their opinion.

I wonder how many Arsenal would've brought if the situation had been reversed and the game played at Old Trafford, for example.

I do. Pellegrini & the players were totally indifferent. The manager couldn't give a shit about the game and the players couldn't either. The club, the management & the players should hang their heads in shame. Lots of fans spent a fortune to travel down to London and watch that shit.

It really isn't good enough.

I fully expect you to thrash Newcastle next week, one week is a long time in terms of fitness . As for the fans turn out, football is not cheap these days and the weather was bad. Especially for city fans who seem to be having to make the trip to wembley every few months.
For us it was nice to be in the community shield again, a trophy where its more important to be in it than to win it, and we have not been in it for years.

exactly, it's much more important to be in it as it shows you were successful the previous season.

There is nothing embarrasing about people not wasting their money on a 400 mile round trip to watch a friendly with 1/2 a reserve team. I live 30 minutes away and I wasn't interested, didn't even listen to it, the outcome was obvious back in May, as was the attendence by City fans. Personally I'll keep my money for bigger and better days, I can't stand Wembley, or what it stands for, if I need to go there for a cup final or semi final I will, but I'm not going there for friendly matches with a team full of reserves.
