I think Arteta may turn out like Brian Kidd, great Nr2, not so good manager.

Looks like he’s a reasonable coach but unfortunately he’s taken on a huge squad rebuild - taking the Arsenal job, which is a totally different discipline. Lots of good coaches are poor at building squads - Rafa is a good example.

Arteta is in a position like Howe at the moment - having to play players who don't want to be at their club or can't just be arsed. Both have got a major job on - in Arteta's case whilst he finds his feet in management. Calls for him to be fired are simply wide of the mark.

looking at the goons that is a minimum five year rebuild , really don't think Arteta thought it was that bad and the fact the Goons will give him virtually nothing to spend as well , they have always been self entitled f*ckers couldnt think of a nicer club to endure mid table mediocrity for a few seasons.

They’re in a bit of a mess, and have had a horrendous restart to the season, but think there is still the nucleus of a decent squad there with some great youngsters. Wouldn’t bet against Arteta turning it around, given time. It’s a huge job though, and their fans aren’t renowned for their patience.
