Wishful thinking. Someone posted that Arteta‘s touchline antics were off putting. Pots and Kettles—have you watched Pep? You could argue that Arteta’s passion will inspire them.
It made me laugh when they dropped those 2 points the other week at home to Newcastle and people were saying that it was the start of their meltdown. The odd draw in isolation - while welcome news for us - isn't something to get all giddy about. There's a long way to go yet but so far Arsenal don't look like a team that will go on a bad enough run of form for us to catch them.

We just have to keep plugging away so that when Arsenal come to visit it's all to play for (if we're not into the sunset by then of course)!

We play Arsenal (H), Fulham (A), Leeds (H), Everton (A), Chelsea (H), Brentford (A).

But Arsenal have us (A), Chelsea (H), Newcastle (A), Brighton (H), Forest (A), Wolves (H).

If we are within a few points of them and if we beat them at home, I'd fancy us to get more points from our last 5 than they do. Lose to us then face Chelsea at home and Newcastle away before Brighton visit. Even Forest away could be a test.

We'll see. Everton away could be tricky if they're still in the relegation fight for us of course. But I'd rather our fixtures then theirs.
Hopefully we're still in with a realistic shout come that Arsenal home game. The nightmare scenario is that the gap keeps widening in the meantime and that match becomes one where they can win the league at our gaff.

They're looking strong arsenal, from players to the fans they're playing with belief and togetherness.

Pep was right to make the wakeup call last week, we will need everything. from our fans spurring us on, to the players having the drive, to the club having belief.

If we do it I'll be amazed given how full of themselves arsenal are and the media support they're getting. We're up against it again! We broke Liverpool, it's a big ask but we can do it again. Cmooooon City!

I dispute your assertion we‘re ‘full of ourselves’. Our young side if anything are showing a lot of humility. They’re full of energy and winning gives you confidence so they’re justified in being happy. As for media support? You must be joking.

I'd be shocked if they were in a position to win it that early. They're on for 100pts at the moment, but I think the second half of the season will cause them to drop many more. I know people say "everyone said that about Leicester" but Leicester did drop points. They got 81 in total and won it by 10pts! No one bothered to challenge them. I still think high 80s/90pt mark will win it. We're still more than capable of getting into the 90s if we can find our best form.

Beat them to close within 3pts and I'd expect them to crumble. But it's vital we put some sort of pressure on them before that so that the need for them to win becomes relentless.

Pep is totally different concentrates on the team, he rarely abolishes the lino for getting a throw-in wrong by running up and down the touch line clearly showing angry and frustration Pep is not an angry man unlike Arteta

Full of themselves = confident.

Media support is a no brainer tbh. They don't want City winning it. Neutrals want an arsenal win

And arsenal have quite a few supporters in the media. I can see why you say you don't, we all get emotional when it's our own team involved. But from the outside i think most would agree arsenal winning the PL sells more stories, just like Leicester .

if they get another 50 pts this second half then fair play to them and they deserve it, but I expect other teams to give them more respect now and play for the draw instead of going for the win. From our side we don't have a choice but to keep going and tally the points at the end. Nobody knows what is going to happen, just keep going.

In the previous 3 seasons, they finished 8th, 8th and, last season, 5th. I'm pretty sure even the most blinkered Arsenal fan wouldn't have forecast the way this season has gone for them. One defeat and two draws in 19 games.
Their points totals in each of those seasons has gone 56, 63, 69… and they’ve spent the most money in the country since Arteta went there.

Obviously, nobody saw them being potential Centurions or even title challengers this season, but they have clearly been on the up over Arteta’s time there and aren’t spending that money to finish 4th or 3rd long term.

There were people on here who logged in regularly to say that they didn't rate either of them. Which I used to find staggering.
Incidentally, Jesus isn't even playing for them, hasn't been for a while, and won't be for a while. They've replaced him seamlessly. No, it's the belief in the whole team that's carrying them, not one or even two players.
Not disagreeing entirely, but then where had that belief, desire, spirit come from. I believe “the city 3” have been a significant catalyst at the club, off and on the field.

Think they’ve won it already these guys. Laura woods on talksport talking about yesterdays result being momentous. I think they probably will win it but they need to play us twice yet….
