I’ve nothing against arsenal and if we are to not win the league then I would rather it be the Arse than the other two, but I think this “Arsenal have got class” thing is a bit weird. They’ve no more class than any other of the “top” teams.
Edit: no one could have less class than the dippers or the rags so by definition rags and dippersyou have mote class than then I’ll give you that ;)
Rags and dippers = underclass
Wolves type teams = lower class
Everton, Spuds type = lower middle
You, Chelsea = middle class
CITY = Royalty

Lmao some of the comments in this thread. This is starting to turn into "Look at me, my club is the bigger victim" we're starting to sound like the two red clubs up north.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what we do as Europa starts again. We're already getting some injuries so I can see us running out of steam if games are coming fast and hard.

Will be interesting to see how Arteta manages our squad from here.
I think at this point your priorities should be the league and nothing else.

Correct, it's quite pathetic really all the moaning

Can you shows me your source for the 18 minute every week thing?

And you’re right something is wrong, those fans aren’t seeing anywhere near as much football as they should be. That’s why standardisation of ball in play makes sense. Plus once teams work out they gain nothing from taking a minute for a goal kick, they’ll not bother. Pope is one of the worst for it normally and he managed to get his arse in gear and kick quickly for the majority of our game yesterday as it didn’t benefit him not to. That’s the whole point of it.
Here are some timings for last season: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...orse-Man-City-culpable-Aston-Villa-worst.html

Man City had the ball in play an average of just over 60 minutes, so if there was a 60 minute timer our matches would be lasting almost exactly 90 minutes.

Villa had the ball in play about 49 1/2 minutes out of 90, so in order for them to reach the 60 minute mark, they'd be playing an average of 60/49.5 * 90, which is 109 minutes, so that's an average of 19 minutes more.

ps. I do agree that time wasting exists, but I think the differences in time in play are mostly down to playing style (and of course at City we see the opposition keeper touch the ball more often than any other team, and MUCH more than Ederson does, so it can definitely feel like that's the main problem).
