Arsenal fans should be the absolute last group of people criticizing the decision. Their players do the same week in, week out, albeit worse, sometimes with two or three players. Apparently it's "genius" when their team does it.

Do these people have no self-awareness?

Different rules though in terms of ref protection against fouls, thresholds for penalties and so on. Plus VAR. Plus quality of other teams. That's why it's so hard to make a direct comparison on a points basis and instead look at the quality of the players and base it on that.

Barcelona scored 87 points in Laliga in the 2009 season and that's the greatest club side there's ever been. Pretty sure they are better than last season's Arsenal team who scored 89 points!

Barca got 99 points in 2010 and 97 in 2011 btw yet those sides were inferior to the 2009 team

If you had the choice of being the invincibles and winning the title, or doing the (proper) Treble, which would you pick?

City's Treble and Centurians achievements were superior to anything arsewipes have ever achieved.

City were swashbuckling, scored goals, won games home and away.

arsewipes played for draws with plenty of 0-0s, less points, less wins & goals !!

Going unbeaten all season is a hell of an achievement but the reality is, we've outdone that since.

I would rather win the league and the league cup in the same season than be invincible (in only the league).

We have already achieved better in the league than the invincibles, our Centurions season is already a better Premier League achievement, even if the Arsenal cult won't admit it. More points = better.

In fact, ten premier league champions have gotten more points than the invincibles, that's not even counting runner up teams like Liverpool.

The invincibles didn't win any other trophy in the season. So id rather be one of the 17 other premier league winning teams to win the league whilst also winning another major honour in the same season. Arsenal went undefeated (in the league) yet ended the season with less trophies than over half the premier league winning teams since the premier league began.

Congratulations arsenal. You won the league without losing a game, gets you the same thing as any other team that won the league. But unlike other teams, they didn't win anything else in the season, didn't do back to back title wins. Chelsea took the following title at a breeze and it was a further decade before Arsenal even became runners up again.

The "Is Yours Gold?" crowd are hilarious. The tiny gold memento of achievement isn't a trophy but their fans act like it's the holy grail.
