£65m-£70m I reckon.
What do you, as an Arsenal fan, think of it? You reckon he'd go straight into the starting 11? Definitely needed as that CL winner you have doesn't cut it.

If we signed Calvin Phillips he'd go straight into the starting XI as a number 9!

I think he's a player that fits Arteta's profile, is young, technical and can develop. He's not firing us to the league this season but hopefully is more clinical than what we've got.

Still no idea why we didn't take a punt on Toney in the summer though. Clearly he'd have made a difference. Arteta's ideal player is Isak but the cost would be astronomical if Newcastle even decided to sell and if they did it's not like other big teams wouldn't be in for him either so that deal isn't happening.

They absolutely will go after Haaland I'm sure. Gabriel in particular. 'Chat sh*t, get banged' and all that.

I hope they ignore it and just focus on the 3 points but looking at some of the stuff that was posted on Brazilian social media I fear some red cards. Hopefully Kovacic calms down as well - he should have been sent off in the game at the Emirates last season for nasty fouls on Odegaard and Rice but, well, Michael Oliver innit.
Nasty fouls, get to fuck. How can you preach about nastiness with your cynical manager, coaching staff and players? You openly admitted you targeted Rodri.
Class? Your DNA has cheated written right through it.

Just said somewhere else that I'm stunned that given how shite we've been we're only 6 points off Arsenal. Shocking really. No one is putting in a challenge against Liverpool.
You think we have been brilliant this year? You think we haven't had to cope with injuries. Dodgy red cards galore. We have also been miles of our best

Arsenal have had lots of key players injured plus have played over 4 halves of football with 10 men whereas Liverpool have been fortunate with injuries.

I also read that City had the most minutes of any team played by their squad in summer international tournaments followed by Arsenal in 2nd place. Liverpool were some distance away. I suspect both squads are exhausted which may explain some of the drop off vs last season. City playing in the Club World Cup next summer is unlikely to be helpful in that regard either.
Mmm, again economical with the truth. How long were you a man down yesterday? Please reply with the answer.

Because Toney has behavooral problems. We went through all this with Aubamayang and Ozil who thought they were doing the club a favour by playing for us, they turned up late to training and Aubameyang also turned up late to an NLD. Toney is cut form the same material. I can just imagine Toney rolling up to training half an hour late, headphones in ears listening to the new Drake track and then throwing a tantrum when he is lift out of the matchday squad because of it.

Lots and lots and lots. You can barely put a team out. My God you hardly have three out at a time.

Nobody admitted targeting Rodri and that was an innocuous tackle that led to the injury.

I had to look five times to see the Rodri incident. As I have mentioned numerous times, I couldn’t take my eyes off Akanji being grappled. I also keep asking you if you thought it was a penalty but you keep avoiding the answer. Clear it up once and for all. Was it a penalty and did you “get away with one?”

You've not been brilliant, but nowhere near as bad as we've been. As for the red cards, there's not a team in the league who don't think they've been hard done by but you're fans shout loudest about it - just look at this place, you'd think every ref and pundit had it in for us. I've seen yesterday's red and if that was us I'd be pissed off, but there you go. You've not had 'dodgy red cards galore'.

I'd have to rewatch the Akanji incident. The ref messed up by allowing the free kick for Calafiori's goal without letting Walker get back into position though - that's clear.
